Top notch where nothing is too much trouble. Everyone has a smile and the overall vibe is delightful. There was an issue with WiFi in my room and it was responded to quickly and effectively. Food. Absolutely wonderful. The dinner menu at 40 Euros is a bargain... apertif, amuse boche, breads, starter, soup, main, dessert, and coffee. The food is well prepared and the portions are ample. I note the size of portions is much better than a previous stay seven years ago. Room. I stayed in the suite and love its ambience. Snacks. From 4 PM to 6 PM there is a selection of snacks... sweet and savory. They are diverse and change every day.

Located in Lajeosa do Mondego, municipality of Celorico da Beira – the Serra Cheese capital – Casas do Durão-Memories House is set at the base of the Estrela Ridge and offers a tranquil stay. A magical place with the family history that is around on the walls through pictures and family tools. The house housed a museum containing antique items that have been useful for the past 200 years. The hospitality was warm and generous and the generous breakfast with the beautiful dishes was a celebration.

She was not released until after 3pm, the staff not only allowed us a very late check out, but was in constant contact with the hospital for me as I know zero Portuguese. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that we are hoping to come back for some cycling training.

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at this hotel and we were extremely satisfied! The hotel is situated on a mountainside, offering breathtaking views of the valley. There is a large beautiful pool in the courtyard. The rooms are lovely and spacious, with views of the mountains and the city below. They provide everything you need, including storage cabinets, a comfortable king-sized bed, a refrigerator, a television, a safe, a hairdryer, a makeup mirror, and plenty of outlets to charge all your gadgets. The breakfasts were delicious, with fresh fruits and local cheeses. For dinner, we were offered traditional Portuguese dishes and wonderful desserts. We were also very pleased with the hotel staff - they were extremely helpful and pleasant. We will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Absolutely perfect quite mountain retreat with amazing breakfast, incredible views, awesome hiking trails, and very friendly staff. I could easily spend a month here in the summer time. Pretty much everything, such a cosy, beautiful place to hang out and enjoy the silence! We got free jams, bread, pasta etc. everything was there in the house! Amazing sunset views and such a nice host Rosa even though we didn’t speak Portuguese. Quite a beautiful but steep and narrow route to get to the house. 10/10, really recommend going if you plan on visiting the National park near by. It’s truly an adventure to get there and is a contrast to the city life.
