Located in Borgarnes, 43 km from Thingvellir National Park, Basalt Hotel provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Absolutely LOVED everything about this hotel. It was classy and modern, but didn't scream 'luxury' in your face. Super quiet, secluded and enwrapped in nature. Fantastic hot tub. Food, staff, vibe, music - everything was just perfect. We would come here to stay for a week to completely unwind. The hike to the waterfalls (ask the staff) was so worth it - so many waterfalls up the hill, one after another! Location is truly far from everything, but it wasn't a problem for us. We enjoyed the road 52 in itself.

Located on Snæfellsnes peninsula, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and rooms with mountain views and free WiFi access. Stykkishólmur town centre is a 25-minute drive away. The room temperature was quite high surprisingly. The floor heating was strong and stable when you consider the weather condition. The bed was quite comfy with a lot of pillows. The rooms were stylish. Breakfast and dinner hall was so cute and meals were so delicious, especially the dinner.

A great place as our last stop in westfjords! There's a N1 gas pump, a free air pump with tire pressure gauge, and a free high pressure washer to clean your car! Just PERFECT after a few days driving on westfjords dirt roads. Nice staff. Nice breakfast. Nice room and comfy beddings. Wifi signal not very good but still useable maybe too many people there.

The dogs and parrot add to the amazing atmosphere. Great host and helpful smiling staff. They have added some really nice vegan options in the menu. Shout out to Kevin - great hour of kayaking in the fjord!

The location, the welcome and the design/feeling at the Hotel was exemplary. Very friendly staff greeting us and a warm, comfortable vibe in the lobby area made us feel at home quickly. We had a nice room on the 1st floor that was super cozy and nicely decorated - bed was very nice to sleep on :) Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and delicious.

Set on Flatey Island in the Breidafjördur Bay, this hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Baldur Ferry Terminal that departs from Stykkishólmur. It was a great place to stay on the quiet island.

Hotel Stafholt has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Borgarnes. At the hotel, all rooms are fitted with a wardrobe. The hotel is brand new and beautifully decorated. It is located in a central area with low tourism activity, which is suitable for an extended stay. We stayed a week. We wanted solitude with access to hikes, mountains, highlands, waterfalls and glaciers, and we got it. The breakfast was also delicious. The staff is very kind and accommodating. (We love your hospitality, Judith! And it was a pleasure to briefly meet the owner too!)
