It's a very unique place for a once in a lifetime experience. We did some horeriding with sunrise, watched the balloons, explored the city and did beautiful hikes in the valleys that surround Goreme. The hikes we totally recommend, you escape the big group of tourism and you can just enjoy the beautiful nature.
With half a week, say 4 days, you can see the most. We were there for a week, that was a bit too long, but we could take it slow which was perfectly fine for us. Be aware of sleeping not that much a night, because if you want to see the sunrise you have to wake up at 4:30. Goreme is a living town with lots going on, so don't come here only to rest. You can expect lots of tourists in this area.
We ate multiple times at A la Mode Restaurant & LaLinda Brasserie, this were our favorites because of the varieties in the menu.

Göreme, a great place with lots of choices, offering a vast array of restaurants and cafés. Its walkability to the Open-Air Museum and numerous trails of various levels of difficultly provide ample opportunities to explore. The is also many opportunities to rest at charming stops along the way and have a snack of cup of tea.

A beautiful small town with access to many activities (needing at least 2 full days to complete - I recommend 3 days so you avoid too many very early starts and the opportunity to rebook the Hot Air Balloon ride if it is cancelled due to poor weather. The Red tour is more about History, the Green tour is more about scenery and there is a Blue tour to see water. There is also ATV and horse riding, Turkish Baths, many restaurants and shops to visit.

Nice national park with plenty of hiking routes and guided tours around the area. The hot air balloons spectacle is also something to remember. While we did not fly one, we watched them drift in the sky as the sun was rising - and it was magical.

It is a magical place!
It is a magical place! It certainly must be on your bucket list. Goreme is quite small so it is easy to get around. Restaurants have a wonderful view, especially at night. It is worth visiting Seten restaurant, Galerie Ikman, Underground city etc.
We had the most magical stay at the lovely Goreme Reva Hotel in Cappadocia.
The staff were all so kind and helpful. Haroun helped us book all our airport transfers and tours. The main road is walking distance from all the restaurants and travel agency's for tour bookings.
Our room was spacious, clean and it had a balcony.
The Turkish buffet breakfast is fresh and so appetizing.
The hot air balloons float over the hotel and the early morning (5am) views from the ottoman terrace is absolutely spectacular.
Thank you for the pleasant stay!
Seven Rocks is the perfect place to spend a few days in Goreme. a great central location just off the main street. Super staff, very helpful and polite. an extra bonus in the swimming pool, especially if you are spending more than a couple of days in Cappadocia. The real advantage of this hotel is the abundant space around the pool and outside each room - a covered veranda with lovley Turkish rug cushions to relax on. Great breakfast, typical Turkish breakfast of cold mezes. I could comfortqably spend a week at this hotel.
The staff at this hotel were very nice and helpful with good English and connections all around town for various services. It is hard to compare it to other hotels because we have never slept in a cave hotel! The shower pressure was excellent. The view was incredible and there was no need to take a trip to the tall vantage point in Cappadocia to see the balloons at sunrise. They came so close to the hotel that you could hear them firing up and clearly see the passengers. Any closer would have been downright dangerous.
It was very nice. Inside the hotel there is Kaira Rooftop, a known rooftop in Göreme with live music at sunset. In the terrace you have a good view of the balloons but next to the hotel there is the entrance to the “sunset point” you can go there in the morning and have an even better view of the balloons. Buffet and drinks were nice. Our room was very good, specially the bathroom with bathtub. If it isn’t your first time in Cappadocia you can probably get another place for a cheaper price with a good location also.
We spent 3 nights at Cappadocia Cave Lodges and definitely that it contributes to our amazing experience in Cappadocial. Rooms are super nice, location is amazing (that aren't many hotels above), breakfast is good with some Turkish food, the rooftop has an incredible panoramic view of Goreme as well as the terrace where you can have breakfast. We also enjoyed very much our conversations with our host (we don't the name, sorry) about Portugal, Turkey, football and cats 🤪 and its advices about Cappadocia.
We stayed for 2 days in karadut Cave hotel at the center of Goreme, surrounded with a lot of restaurants and coffee shops.a little walk you will find souvenir shops and grocery store, bus stop, very convenient location
We had a great time & memorable experiences in Cappadocia, thank you to Mr.Faruk who helped us a lot in airport shuttle, tour packages and even for restaurant recomendations, thank you for letting us experience your beautiful country.
Highly Recommended, looking forwArd to be back soon.
Arif Cave hotel has one of the best locations in Goreme, being right next to the hill that many visit to see the balloons fly. With Arif Cave hotel, you can watch it right from the terrace of the hotel. Great spot for taking your Insta photos. The best part of the hotel is the staff, especially Mr. Han (hope I got the name right). He was super helpful, very friendly and made me feel like an old friend of his. The breakfast had lots of items, more than I could eat. Highly recommend this hotel.
The unique design of this cave hotel. It’s really beautiful and the colors of the room just combines together. The room is clean and spacious. Equipment with things you might need. The bathroom is just lovely and aligns with the cave style. The bathtub just adds more excitement and relaxation to your stay. Their breakfast was wonderful and specifically the cheese borek, it’s the best I’ve had in Turkey so far..!! The hotel is near the important facilities.
I have just finished my stay with Divan Cave Hotel and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is beautiful, especially the cave rooms. The rooftop is perfect for sunrise balloon watching and for laying out in the sun during the day. The staff went above and beyond for our group, and it were all super lovely. They organised our airport transfers and all activities with ease. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful hotel stay in Cappadocia
We loved our stay at Panoramic Cave Hotel. The room was very spacious, cozy and warm (we went in the end of winter). Breakfast was also great with lots of local delicacies to try, however Asya and Emir really made our stay awesome. They run the hotel's reception and gave us recommendations on what to do, where to eat and even helped us book the right tours to make the most of our time in Cappadocia. We really felt looked after in Panoramic Cave Hotel.
We had a great time in Cappadocia and staying at this hotel definitely was a part of that. The hotel and terrace were amazing! Shamil is a really nice guy and helped us with recommendations and bookings of everything we wanted to do there. We would for sure recommend this place for a stay in Göreme!
This is in a wonderful location in Goreme. This is a beautiful cave hotel with spacious cozy rooms and balconies. The staff has excellent communication and are extremely helpful with planning excursions/tours. The hamam treatment was wonderful as was the breakfast.
My stay at Adelya Cave Hotel was very pleasant . Lisa and Denis are amazing hosts and made my time in Cappadocia an amazing experience. The hotel is at a great location therefore moving around the town is quite simple and convenient.
Great and the most recommendable cave hotel in Göreme area. Amazingly kind and helpful staff, clean room, delicious complimentary breakfast. Everything was perfect. I'm willing to stay again next visit.
It’s right in the Centre of Gorome. You can walk to most places. The hotel organize tour for you as well! In all, a nice convenient cave hotel to stay when you’re in Cappadocia! Staff are friendly!
It is a nice cave hotel in Cappadocia and the location is great.
They let us early check in as we arrived in the morning.
Nice rooftop to enjoy hot air balloon at sunrise.
Amazing cave hotel in the perfect spot to access all the places in Goreme by walk. The view from the breakfast roof top was incredible. Staff was very helpfull.
