A wonderful resort just 10 min drive from Gytheo. We really enjoyed the amenities here, a great pool, lovely grassy seating area under the trees, and the beach with sun loungers and umbellas. The staff were very kind, always bringing us waters wherever we sat and they served a great breakfast by the pool. You can choose what you like from their menu.
Very comfortable bed and spacious room with a cute little balcony and sea view. Overall we had a very relaxing stay and could not have asked for anything better! Thank you all so much!

Beautiful hotel - very clean and has a lovely calm atmosphere - Marilaina and Yannis were extremely helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us - great location just a few minutes walk to the beach and tavernas - would definately stay again if we ever visit the Pelloponesse - thank you

Gythio is a very pleasant little town with a range of eating places and shops, set on a bay with a small port The Castello Antico is set 5km round the coastline - which means there are no hassles for car parking, Access to the Mani Peninsula and other interesting places in Southern Peleponnese by car is easy - but public transport limited. About 3.5 hours drive to Athens airport.

The upper small streets abd the authentic houses are a landscape to share. Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

We loved the beaches that are all around Navagio ..Mavrovouni .. Very fresh fish in reasonnable prices . The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete. We will be back soon .Margeli

Mavrovouni (<black mountain>, Montenegro) is practically a suburb of Gythion but still a separate village and the tower overlooks the main square with several tavernas directly in front of it. Across the road there is also a mini market/cafe with fresh pies for breakfast The famous beach of Mavrovouni (thick sand, endless) starts just below the village. Too steep to walk up- and downhill but only 5 minutes by car

Incredibly accommodating, one of the nicest people we’ve met in Greece. You’re an about a 10 minute walk to Gythio and about a five minute walk into Mavrouni, the location was great. I would highly recommend anyone coming to the area stays here, you won’t regret it and you’ll have a great time! Make sure you book a room with Sea View!CChristopherUnited States
