I couldn't praise this accommodation enough, from start to finish the landlord and his staff were so helpful pleasant and professions. The village is beautiful, room was stunning, rain shower was heaven and some lovely touches, including a breakfast hamper and fresh milk in the fridge. I was by myself travelling for work and they even brought my dinner to the room. Nothing was too much trouble, thank you so much. I will definitely be back !

Mitton Hall Hotel, hotel in Clitheroe

Mitton Hall Hotel is located in the heart of fabulous Ribble Valley, 10 minutes' drive from Clitheroe, in Lancashire. This country style house hotel is set in a 15th century manor house.

This was our first stay. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Staff were welcoming. The food both dinner and breakfast was excellent. The hotel sits in lovely grounds. Our room, we booked a suite, The Ribble Suite was very comfortable with the most amazing four poster bed. Our only initial concern was the height of the base of the bed to get in and out of (we are in our seventies) however we coped admirably! The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a bath and a walk in shower. We couldn’t fault the hotel, would happily recommend it and we will return.

The best part would have to be the view! I love a good view and the pictures on the website don’t do it’s justice, when you get there and you see it for yourself it really does blow you away (if you have an eye for views like me anyway!)

Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield. For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep. For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

We loved everything about our stay. Only one night, but we will be staying again. A lovely find near chipping. A beautiful hotel with stunning surroundings. We had a suite which was on two floors. I actually thought we'd been given the wrong room as it was very grand. The staff were lovely. Friendly and funny . They made us feel very welcome. A nice little touch was seeing our names on the breakfast table dressed as if it was a wedding breakfast. It was just the best night away in an amazing hotel. I would highly recommend it .

It's a beautiful building in a beautiful setting. The staff are welcoming and friendly and though its little out of the nearest town its only a short journey to Clitheroe. The breakfast was lovely, a buffet which included cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, full cooked, and other bits and pieces. Everywhere was clean, the bedroom and en suite plus the communal areas and dining room. The price was fantastic, definite value for money. There's very little to add! I would definitely book here again

The people who have only recently taken over running the hotel were EXTREMELY friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had the "best room in the house" and it was delightful, having obviously been recently refurbished. The En-Suite was enourmous, clean and the shower was superb. Views out over the valley were brilliant and we were lucky to have stunning weather too. Breakfast was excellent.

Great location, a quiet residential road very close to the centre of Clitheroe, with easy parking. The house is larger than it looks and was comfortable and cosy with everything we needed. We were in Clitheroe for a wedding and the house was an ideal base. The host, Olivia, was prompt in her responses, particularly when there was a minor issue with the heating and we were able to quickly resolve it.

The location and building are stunning, Reception staff very friendly, lovely sitting area by a grand fireplace. The room was sound enough but had a funny smell. I don't know if this was a room that allows pets as the hotel does advertise dog friendly.
