I was very lucky to be able to book a room in last minutes right before my arrival to Sri Lanka since this property is highly popular. I’m very happy to experience seeing and feeling Mr. Bawa’s design implementation. The property is very clean and the staffs are very kind and assistive. It’s quiet and calm. No TV, so I don’t get distracted by unnecessary noise. there’s Wifi, but relatively slow, which I don’t mind. I’d love to come back to and stay longer next time.

Beautiful decor, good location, comfy bed with mosquito net, great balcony view (from room 206), spacious bathroom. All that was very nice, but what truly stood out was the owner’s kindness and warm hospitality. He gave his staff off on the day I was there, so he did everything himself, from checking me in to cooking a delicious breakfast, to driving me to the airport - always with the utmost care and ample generosity. I’m happy I found this place and will definitely go back when in Colombo/Mt. Lavinia.

Cultural shock but must to see with your own eyes. 2 days is good enough to discover. Very intense city with lot of noises and smells, crowded places everywhere, the air pollution is high the trafic is crazy. The people are very kind and helpful. After all Colombo is an interesting experience.
