We chose Hotel Can Josep for our eight nights in the Terra Alta region because it was a good base for many planned day trips. Highlights: 10 Location 2) beautiful room 3) HUGE breakfast included 4) Outstanding restaurant with amazing food and reasonable prices for quality 5) Maria and Josep are the gold stars of this hotel. They made our trip so special. From working with my broken Spanish to helping us with recommendations and ideas for things to do-- they went above and beyond anything we ever would have expected from a hotel.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, Hotel Vilar Rural d'Arnes by Serhs Hotels is situated in Arnés in the Catalonia Region, 44 km from Morella. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. I like the area, but for sure this is not a four stars Hotel. Not even a 3 stars. To have stars, the property need to earn them. In the restaurants the cup of tea comes without a proper plate. Amazing!!!

I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you have the chance; it's an incredibly beautiful and atmospheric place. I can envision celebrating a wedding there someday

Set 27 km from Tortosa Cathedral and featuring a shared lounge, Ca l'Àngel features accommodation in Pinell de Bray. The host was really friendly and made our family feel very welcome. Clean and spacious rooms. Good location and fantastic breakfast.

Located 12 km from Els Ports, Apartamentos La Venta del Rome offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 36 km from Tortosa Cathedral. Our appartment had ample space especially in the living/cooking area, the bathroom is modern and comfortable, the bed as we like (not too soft), the heating was needed and worked well. This was all better than we had expected from the photos. The location is ideal for exploring Terra Alta between Horta de Sant Joan and Valderrobres. The most remarkable benefit was the support given to us by the owners, Enrique and Mari. Without Enrique's suggestions and guidance we would have missed several very interesting tours and experiences.

SItuated in Les Ports Nature Reserve, Apartaments la Fabrica offers self-catering apartments in the village of Horta de Sant Joan. Oscar met me and carried my case upstairs. The apartment was cool, spacious and spotlessly clean. Double glazing cut out the street noise.
