Located in Yangshuo, The Bamboo Leaf Yangshuo offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. Staff were excellent & went out of their way for us.

This is our 2nd stay at the Apsara plus 1 stay at the neighbouring sister hotel Moondance. It's ideal for hiking, biking, e-biking, rafting, rock climbing, and rafting ........... Check-in was easy, just hand in the passports/ID and they'll bring them back to you when registered, the public area has a cosy fireplace, a small bar and a restaurant area. Tea and coffee are on hand all day, and afternoon snacks are provided as well. The restaurant food is mostly Chinese but tasty and a few other bits such as chicken popcorn and chips for the kids. Breakfast is fine with cereals, toast, a range of hot foods, eggs and noodle soups. The pool is open all year and the brave in winter can take a dip! there is outdoor seating overlooking the river and a rainproof gazebo in wet weather. The rooms are spacious and rustic. the beds are clean and comfortable with aircon for hot and cold as needed. Some rooms are suitable for families singles couples and friends so plenty of choices. Tips - contact the hotel for we chat connections and they can be super helpful and cater for your needs. free bikes are on hand and the hotel can help with a range of activities, many an easy cycle or within an hours walk. hiking the back trails along the rivers and karst is easy and well worth it but download apps to your phone such as MapsMe, Locus Map and A Map have most of the paths marked between them. The nearest train station is Yangshuo 2h30m ish from Guangzhou and 4-5h30m from Wuhan and the airport at Guilin. The hotel can arrange transfers.

Riverside Inn Guilin är en lugn oas, idealiskt beläget i hjärtat av Guilin. Boendet erbjuder utsikt över floden samt resebiljetter till Guilin eller Yangshuo. The location is very close to bus stops from either Guilin West or North train stations. It is also within walking distance to a few major sites. Some buses also stop close to the sites, for $2 Chinese Yuan per person, it is a very good deal. Need to have exact change for the bus ride. Some older bus do not have the means for electronic payment. We stayed in two different rooms, River view with tatami and deluxe family room. Both were very good rooms, excellent water pressure and rain shower was a delight! The room facing the River was a bit noisy during early evening but was not a problem later in the night, when all activities in the nearby park finished and participants dispersed. The deluxe family room, which was facing the inner alley, was very quiet. We did not have breakfast included with the room, but nearby are eateries and a very good bakery. A supermarket is also nearby. We also appreciate the excellent and thorough information provided by the hotel regarding how to get to the hotel from whatever mode of transportation one is taking.

Surrounded amidst impressive Karst mountains, Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is located at the edge of Yulong River. Free WiFi access is available. Free parking space is offered. The location and the outside appearance of Yangshuo Mountain Retreat almost impossibly beautiful. It is situated a stone’s throw from the Yulong River in a valley that is one of the most magical places I have ever visited. Near-vertical towering karst terrain spires line the valley on either side and tower directly behind the resort itself. The resort provides free bicycles which are better maintained that those that I have found for free in other hotels and there are free helmets and bicycle locks provided. The bike ride up the valley for a mile or so along a wide brick paved path that runs along the banks of the river offers a parade of vertical peaks on either side of the river(there are more extensive bike routes listed online but these involved sharing the road with busy auto and motor scooter traffic and I,for one, did not think the risk of an orthopedic, or head, injury was worth it). The Yulong river valley is lined with small farms and has so many gorgeous plants(from banana trees to rice ready for harvest and local wild flowers), that I chose to walk it several times to appreciate the fine detail one misses when biking. The exterior of the resort itself is very charming with exuberant blooming bougainvillea lining the path and framing the verandas of each room. The interiors and plumbing are somewhat old fashioned but comfortable and clean and the rooms have a small veranda with chairs and a small table looking out onto a stunning bougainvillea-framed view of the river and mountains. The staff were friendly and went out off their way to be helpful. They welcomed us on our first day with a complimentary pot of ginger tea and a little plate of cookies. The ginger tea was so good we went back three times during our stay for a pot of the same tea. The restaurant was cozy and the chinese dishes were good(we did not try their western menu).

Li River Retreat ligger på floden Lis västra strand och erbjuder en avkopplande vistelse och boende i kinesisk stil. Anläggningen har vidsträckt utsikt över floden Li och bergen Karst. Everything! The staff are so lovely and helpful, and they speak English. The rooms are really nice and comfortable, they have everything you need and an amazing view of the mountains. The food at the hotel is great and the cocktails are good during happy hour. There's also some games to play in the restaurant area - one rainy day we played monopoly for hours and had cocktails and food at the hotel and it was super cosy. The pool was a big factor for us, after some city stays, we were in dire need of some relaxation and we certainly got that at Li River Hotel, especially because it's not right in the very centre of yangshuo. The centre is around a 20-25 minute walk along the river. There is also a shuttle bus that runs but we preferred the walk. It's also a beautiful area for a morning jog. The hotel staff can arrange trips for you too. They sorted our tickets do the light show on the river and told us where to go to get a sidecar to travel around. We loved the hotel so much that we cancelled our next part of our trip in China to stay here 2 more nights. I highly recommend this hotel. We didn't see any nicer than this when travelling around Yangshuo.

Riverside Retreat Hotel ligger omgivet av bambuskog och odlad mark. Från hotellet har du utsikt över den vackra floden Li. Tucked away from the city, relaxing, nice views. restaurant and pool available. Beautiful bike ride into town. Staff were so helpful and really made our stay feel special. Very close to a bus stop to Xingping, which was convenient! 15 min bike ride to the city of Yangshuo, bikes and e-bikes available to rent.

Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city centre. Small hotel run by a couple of friendly woman. They kept our big luggage for 4 nights while we went to the rice fields and then to Yangshuo. Easy to communicate as they speak English, which believe me, is not something you can take for granted in China, not even in touristy areas. For this reason alone, I think this is probably the best hotel to stay at if you don’t like the hassle.
