The views from the common room were amazing and the fire place created a comfy atmosphere. My only regret is that we did not stay an extra night. Hope to be back one day!

It’s well maintained and so cosy with a nice kitchen and living room area along with the garden! It was close to the town center and parking was plenty on the street. Plus, I met great people there! Situated in the North Catlins, Surat Bay Lodge offers friendly private and dormitory rooms with free WiFi. We had a 270 degree view of the bay from our corner room! Very friendly helpful owner. Very well equipped shared kitchen. Only a few rooms in the hotel so it was very quaint. Nice sitting area with a sun room. Clean bathrooms.
