Very friendly owner who even remembered my name the next day. I loved the decor - fantastic murals in the common areas including the amazing bathrooms. Historical piano and pool table. Two separate lounges. I wish that I could post more pictures! I was impressed how my towels perfectly matched the unusual colours of the bedspread in my quiet private room. Great, probably best in Picton, location next to the shopping/high street and the ferry quai (My outside photo is a couple of minutes away). Free dessert and free basic breakfast.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

It is a really nice and quiet hostel with a cosy community area. It's easy to meet new people The rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable Showers and toilets are clean The kitchen is well equipped, and the free breakfast is a very nice addition (thanks for that) A bit outside of the town centre. It's a 10-minute walk to the next supermarket and a 15-minute walk to the Interisland Ferry terminal. I didn't mind walking.

Very affordable place in a great location, close to ferry harbor. Many facilities were inside, including free breakfast. Atlantis owner was always somewhere around, and we could get some travel tips. She created a family-like atmosphere. Generally, I liked the hostel atmosphere, although for some guests it may seem weird. The room was comfortable, and the beds were too.

Fantastic backpacker hostel if you are backpacking in New Zealand. Very cheap and you can meet a lot of people. Also a nice cosy place and the staff are very helpful. The selfmade free dessert on 7pm is a very sweet touch too.

Nice & warmly backpacker💜 We booked bunk bed without bedding due with bedding need to spent extra few dollar. After arrival, the staff of the hostel knew that we don’t have own bedding, she automatically provide us sleeping bag as she told the day very cold and we might need it for well sleep. The small action made me very touching. Strong recommended to those would like to stay overnight at Picton 👍
