All units at the holiday park are fitted with a seating area. All units have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. At the holiday park, each unit includes bed linen and towels. We stayed at Nini’s seaview bungalow for three nights, just a couple meters from the ocean. Nini’s is the only place with both restaurant and bungalow facing the water, which is a huge advantage compared to other resorts (and very good value for money). The bungalow is very comfortable and the bathroom is nicely decorated. The spaces are nicely designed, the food is amazing, and we will miss having breakfast with sea view. With only two bungalows, the atmosphere remains very familiar. Nini and the staff were very helpful and happily accommodated our requests, the service was exceptional. Bira is not as touristy as other Indonesian islands, don’t expect plenty of restaurants and cocktail bars, but if you are looking for a beach escape the place is perfect. Don’t miss out on diving and snorkeling.

Built in traditional Torajan style, Rura Raya Homestay is situated in Rantepao.

The rooms here offers modern comforts and while maintaining the traditional decor. It is fitted with hardwood flooring, TV and dining table. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from the balcony or the garden view from the terrace. The private bathroom comes with a shower and towels. We like the nice bedroom with good view. Manaek is a great personne. Her food is fantastic very tasty. She is very kind and smiling. We recommand her homestay.

Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. It features a private beach area and a restaurant. Snorkeling on the dive boat was excellent. Felt I was being looked out for. Two different locations each morning. Great dive crew. Bed in the cabin was comfortable.

Guesthouse Guesthouse The 4 Fish is located in Tongkaina. Just 18 km from Manado and a 10-minute walk from a dive centre. It features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and rooms with views of the valley from the terrace. Free internet and parking are provided. Very friendly host who takes time for the individual interests of the guests.

Located in Bunaken, 3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort is only a short distance from beautiful snorkelling and diving spots. It boasts a diving centre, massage services and a tour desk.

Each private cottage comes with a fan and a private balcony which offers views of the surrounding greenery. It features an en suite bathroom, mosquito nets and toiletries. It also has a seating area. The staff are extremely accommodating and helpful. They try very hard to give you a top knotch experience. The dive masters, cooks, and reception check in with you multiple times a day to ensure you have everything you need. The dive spots were great and the care was fabulous. Their resort is tucked away on quiet Bunaken island.

Located in the famed diving site of Bunaken, Onong Resort offers cosy and homey beachfront accommodation featuring free WiFi access throughout the property. This property can also help arrange dolphin tour upon request and at an additional charge. The nearest diving and snorkeling spot can be found just a 2-minute walk away. Snorkelling gear is available with a fee. Clear water with clean beds and delicious meal.

Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. The property has a lot of staircases and may not be suitable for elderly or young children. The bungalows are simple and very nicely decorated. The views are to die for. I loved the stairs straight down to the beach, the hammock on the veranda, simplicity, small scale and the overall value for money. The food is yummy and the staff and owner very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Also, check out the diving centre next door, GaiaOne Boutique diving.

Located on Bunaken Island along the Pangalisan Beach, Cakalang Resort offers diving and snorkeling opportunities on-site. It has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk.

Fan-cooled bungalows come with free Wi-Fi and feature garden and sea views. Tea/coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with shower facilities are available. We had a great time at cakalang with Fernando and his wife being extremely accomodating. Debbie the receptionist/cook was amazing and made the best food we have had in Indonesia. Great diving experience with the team here also. Can’t wait to return some time soon!

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. Enjoying a peaceful location, it has a meditation pavilion and a hiking trail. We stayed at Gardenia Country Inn for 3 nights/ 2 full days and enjoyed our stay very much! The view of volcano Lokon, the beautifully maintained gardens and the food were really great! The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful - especially the manager Leslie went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay. We would definitely recommend coming here when visiting Tomohon!

Full-board Indonesian and western meals, water and tea/coffee are provided for free at the open-air Seafront restaurant.
