This is a very old house, the house is renovated, very humanistic features, and the boss's service is very good. I have lived here many times, very comfortable, looking forward to next time we meet

It was ok I only stayed one night very dark outside and in a weird location but facilities were good and the owner was nice, a bit limited english

Like everything about this place. Reception girl was super sweet and helpful. We arrive to bkk after almost 20h of bus journey and when we came it was 7 in the morning and was worried that we have to wait until 2 to check in but she made sure we got a room straight way and the room was very clean, bed was comfy and had a balcony. Water force in the shower was very good and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was cheap and we stayed very close to China town and khao San road but it was quieter area. Definitely book this hotel if I come to bkk.

The Shanti Lodge is probably the most beautiful, friendly, relaxed and best located accommodation in Bangkok. I stayed here 30 years and to come back ( with my daughter ) and see Apishort and the girls' smiling faces and the place looking even more beautiful than ever was a joy. The fantastic restaurant on the ground floor is an oasis of tropical green with the sound of running water from the fish pond. It's brilliant being close to the Thewet river bus stop - and therefore a short hop down to The Grand Palace, Kao San Rd and many temples and other landmarks. It's simply the ONLY way to travel and a memorable experience in itself. The cool breeze off the river is a welcome break from the sweltering heat of the city. If you can afford it, book the penthouse. Best bathroom in Bangkok. The roof terrace garden is heavenly.

Beautifully decorated and designed, in a wonderful area that apparently hasn’t changed for the last 40 years. Also, close to a delicious food market during the morning. Super friendly staff.
