Nice clean room & very friendly host. Property is located just outside Vasto, between the town and the sea about 15 mins walk uphill to the town or downhill to the sea. For us, the location was perfect.

De location was beautiful, de house was nice and comfortable (in regards to the pictures, I booked the smallest room :-) others where way more spacious but it was exactly what I needed), and Anna Maria does everything to make it a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I was there for my master's study and was working on an excavation from early in the morning till end of day. She arranged breakfast to go, provided me with a lovely coffee before leaving and showed me where I could find some breakfast.

Boasting mountain views, Agriturismo Tenuta Umberto I provides accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, around 38 km from Majella National Park. We stayed here for more than a week and everything was excellent. Splendid views of the mountains in Gran Sasso Park and the surrounding countryside. There is ample safe parking with an electronically controlled gate – a remote control was provided to us, so we could open the gate at any time. The room was spacious and very clean, with a modern bathroom with shower. There was a desk and enough electrical outlets to allow us to keep our electronics powered and charged. Our hostess Daniela was very helpful and took a real interest in our activities – suggesting interesting places to hike and visit, and providing maps and brochures. The breakfast offerings were excellent and included home-baked items; we always had a hearty breakfast to prepare us for hiking. This is an excellent spot to use as a base for exploring Maiella National Park. The nearby town of Manoppello has good restaurants (we returned again and again to La Passione), a supermercato where they will make your lunchtime panino, and a gelateria.
