Well located in the Lavender district of Singapore, Aqueen Prestige Hotel Lavender is set 1.7 km from Bugis Street, 2.7 km from Singapore Art Museum and 3.1 km from Raffles City. Having water, coffee and tea in the room. Evening front desk crew were friendly and professional. Crew responded quickly to get us out of the elevator that became out of order between floors. I like the security of having a key to ride the elevator to go our room.

Mercure Singapore Tyrwhitt comprises of 270 newly renovated rooms in classic hues that exude timeless elegance and modern comfort. Very very nice hotel with - for Singapore - surprisingly large room, comfortable bed and nice desk to plan your next day's sightseeing. I even had a nice balcony with a comfy seat. Quite pricey - but in Singapore we either pay this much for a comfortable night at a close to central location, where you can relax well, or if you pay less, you end up being in a depressing place affecting your whole mood for the holiday (trust me, been there done that). It was also very clean, good wifi and the staff was helpful. There is even a tap with filtered drinking water (I would also drink though the normal tap water in Singapore). Two MRT stations are walking distance: Lavender on the green and Bendemeer on the blue line, also safe area for a woman to walk alone late - you are in the center in 20 minutes or so. There is a mall nearby for coffees and food. So I very highly recommend if you look for a nice place where you can relax well and plan your next days in peace, not in the centre but very close.

Situated along 33 Maude Road, J8 Hotel is conveniently within 800 metres from Lavender MRT Station, City Square Mall and Arab Street. The Hotel is very accessible to public transportation (especially buses). A good place for solo traveller who wants their own private space. Good overall service.
