Chai Lai Orchid is one of my favourite places. Personally, it's a shame that it's fully booked almost ALL of the time now and I've got to plan in advance. But, this is a reflection on the incredible experience you have here. The bungalows are comfortable and well decorated, the restaurant has lovely food and fantastic cocktails and the staff are all kind and helpful. The concern most people have would be whether it is an ethical experience and the answer would be ABSOLUTELY. You can tell just how much these elephants are loved by their families and everyone else involved. It's the one place I now have to take anyone who visits me and I have the next trip booked already.
