Dig into more of the city’s historical past at the Basilica of Santa Croce, a Franciscan church full of great artwork and the burial place of Italian greats: Michelangelo and Galileo. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s finest art museums and the Pitti Palace is not far behind.
For great dining, the Santa Croce district has countless options and the unique lampredotto is Florentine fast-food with a 1000-year old history. Many consider the local gelato, Italian ice-cream, to be the best in the world.

The city is packed with museums and cultural masterpieces.
The city is packed with museums and cultural masterpieces. ~The quality of presentation was excellent and even in the Uffizi/Duomo etc whilst queues were quite long, they moved fairly smoothly. Nearly all the placards and information was in Italian (obviously) but also in English (phew!!) I walked at least 5 miles a day which was great for my step count, I used the Firense card which involved a certain amount of admin but as we were visiting a couple of museums a day so probably saved a bit of money. The central district is quite compact so we didn't need to use public transport.

There are lots of attraction places we don't have time to go, so if we go there next time we will leave more time to be there, and book the same place to stay. The owner is very kind and really friendly and helpful. He is a good gentleman and helped us to stay much more easer and happier.

Incredible museums, art, and history.
Incredible museums, art, and history. Recommend the Firenze pass, as it allows you to skip some of the lines and is a great value as long as you have time to visit several museums. Note, there are a couple museums (Uffizi and Accademia- where David is located) which currently require reservations. They can be made after purchasing the pass either in person (which we did, late afternoon at the Uffizi) or online. We walked everywhere, and this hotel was also within walking distance of the train station.

We just wanted to walk around, but in order to see something important we should have booked far in advance. It was Easter week in Italy, something we didn’t think about before booking this trip and did not realize how busy it can be.

Great that you can walk everywhere... every turn offers you something to look at......Despite buying tickets for Uffizi upfront, the queues were ridiculous. We thoroughly enjoyed Santa Croce, beautiful place, straight in and soo peaceful in all the hussle and bussle around...
We were there early May and it was busy so can imagine it in the height of summer being extreme (not for us).
Ate in a number of places, found Trattoria da Guido lovely!
Park Palace is a little way out of the old town which was perfect for us. The bus goes right passed the door regularly and is easy to use. You can also go a bit further on the bus to piazza Michelangelo for a fabulous view of a Florence . It is lovely coming back from the busy town to green space and a sit by the beautiful pool. Breakfast was sumptuous and the best we have experienced in Italy. Delightful having breakfast on the balcony.
We stayed in the annex which was very adequate. Staff were pleasant and efficient.
Relais Tiffany is in a great location for exploring Florence and is close to the train station too if you're travelling. The room was comfortable and clean with AC and water, tea and coffee provided. Antonella was super helpful and sent through a list of recommendations beforehand including where to eat, drink etc. She also helped us plan how to get to our next destination in Italy and was really flexible with us when it came to leaving our bags after check out time. We would highly recommend!
Good transport links to Florence and Fiesole.
In a very nice suburb but there is not much to explore. We have aperitivo near the hotel which was in a nice bakery.
Very comfortable room and clean. Very good shower.
Nice breakfast especially the pastries.
Fine if you're going to go out everyday.
Dinner was fine but a bit overpriced. €18 euro for a small primi, which is very different to the rest of Italy.
Wine selection is nice, again expensive compared to everywhere else in Florence
We arrived early as we were travelling around Italy from Florence. Our room wasn’t ready as there was a problem with the air conditioning. The receptionist put our bags into the luggage store so we could go and venture out. Such great customer service. Our room was also the nicest room (except the honeymoon suite on my wedding) I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I do think we were upgraded and if so I cannot thank the hotel enough.
This was one of the best hotels I've been in Italy. Walking distance from the city center with parking on-site. Extremely comfortable rooms and beds. The indoor pool and rooftop bar were perfect. Booking the rooftop Jacuzzi at an extra cost with a bottle of prosecco was totally worth it. In particular because by change we booked it at sunset. If my kids and I are ever in Florence again, we are definitely staying in this hotel again.
We spent a very comfortable night in a very nice hotel in Florence, the 2nd stop of our Italy trip starting from Rome. Many thanks to Ameli, the lady who welcomed us very nicely at the front desk for check-in, many thanks to Kardeşim 😀 Luca for his nice welcome and interest at breakfast. We hope to come back to Florence and Adler Cavalieri Hotel-Private Spa & Gym at the first opportunity.
Location was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked very well in the hot weather . Nice bonus was streaming Tv so you could watch Netflix at night after a long day rather than just Italian tv . It was an extra touch not experienced at other Italian hotels visited. Roof deck was nice and the courtyard was as well. Definitely my favorite of my Italy visit.
We loved the property itself as it has an authentic Italy feel vs a boutique hotel, and was centrally located and near the train station, making accessibility a huge plus. The staff was phenomenal and incredibly nice. There was a queen bed and our bathroom was inside our room! My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, and were very pleased. Would highly recommend!
The location is second to none. It was fantastic having a centrally located well-appointed apartment walking distance to all the sights Florence has on offer. Italy has notoriously small hotel rooms, so having an apartment with a large bedroom, renovated bathroom, lounge and dining area was exactly what we needed. The bed and sofa bed were incredibly comfortable.
Rocco was a magnificent host! he
was there to greet us at check in.
he prepared the most fabulous breakfast
each morning with the best cappuccino
that we had in Italy! The property was close
to every place that we wanted to see
in Florence. I would definitely recommend
the Boutique Hotel Hugo to anyone
who wants to experience Florence in comfort!
We had 2 nights in Florence during our trip in Italy. The stay in this hotel was great, we enjoyed it very much. The room is very fancy, with good style and design. The team was always very helpful, nice and welcoming. The rooftop is great, with pleasant atmosphere and great food. We also enjoyed the diner in the hotel’s restaurant.
First of all the stuff was more than excellent especially one guy, always there to help us and to give us advice for our Italy tour. The room was amazing and every day we had new fresh clean towels, slippers and a clean room. There was parking and if it was full they had second option for you. Overall I suggest this hotel 100%!
Location was fantastic, the front desk so helpful, and the decor is amazing. It's modern and central, and feels like an upgrade from many other hotels in Italy. Highly recommend you checking out the hotel for your next stay in Florence - I know I'll be back.
Also looking forward to visiting any other Milu locations.
This place is fantastic! In the city center of Florence, the rooms are full of history and well renovated. The bed was incredible with a super nice top mattress, it looked like a 5 start hotel. the host Chiara was super kind and help to let become this vacation one of the best we ever had. Highly recommended!!!
a gem hidden in a nutshell. delivers more than it promises. perfect cost performance ratio. not a five star hotel but it gives you the oppurtinity to experience the essence of Florence. good breakfast. good room facilities . good internet. perfect location. better than most of the chain otels in Italy.
Exceptional good hotel, the best I have ever had in Italy. They operate as 6 stars. Room, service, staff, climate controls and breakfast, all excellent and best for the price. Full in center of the duomo. Surprise: free valet parking service. 12 points
Lovely place on the top of a hill looking over Florence. Staff amazing and very accommodating making sure we had a taxi at 5am for the airport. Everything is luxurious. Restaurant was one of the best meals we had in Italy.
The Hotel was in a great location near the Florence Airport. The Hotel also had an amazing outdoor patio where we ate an amazing dinner. Great place to relax after our 14 day tour of Italy.
