The Hotel Adriana is in a perfect spot on the Riva about 2 minutes walk from Diocletians Palace, and a 5 minute walk from the bus and train station. The staff were helpful and professional. The bathroom was a good size and the bed was comfortable. A good choice of breakfast was included and the shakshuka was extra good! Having had to change rooms during our stay, I would definitely recommend the superior rooms with a lovely waterfront view over the standard rooms at the back of the hotel!

Split is centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and boasting limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. Surprising, interesting palace. We visited a great sculpture gallery. Long walks. Free (tips) old city tour. Wandered the markets and bought some fruit and a couple of things.
Easy to walk around the city.

Spilt itself was beautiful.
Spilt itself was beautiful. There is a lovely old style feel to the place with lovely stone walls and narrow streets. The bus drivers were very rude. On one occasion, they left us standing on the side of a busy road while coursing at us for not getting the first bus even though that bus driver had closed the door and refused to let us on.
It was quite expensive on the main street, but there were some lovely restaurants sown the side streets that were cheaper. The market is lovely and has great quality food as well as stuff
People were friendly. It was such a relaxing place.

Split was wonderful. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs.
Split was wonderful. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs. Lovely walks and a beach nearby. You can book trips to various places if you want to see some of the fabulous islands. We went to Krka waterfalls which was stunning. Our host Elena was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We also continued with a trip to Trogir. Hvar is a beautiful island. Fabrique was a nice place to eat. It is very expensive in Croatia. 2 alcoholic drinks cost 28 euros!! Dining out is costly so take plenty of euros.

Split is an absolute must see and stay in for at least two days if you are visiting the Dalmatian coast. It combines great views, beautiful architecture and a warm welcome from all staff. We visited end of April in the low season so it was not too crowded…

Plenty of cafes for drinks & eating out - watching the world go by!
Historic city that has a vast amount of history to explore
Adventure trips out to national park, island trips & quad biking - we did all these and it made the holiday so enjoyable
The local buses are easy to navigate around the city and get out further - week ticket €20
Word of caution - review where you eat, as there are a lot of quick turnaround tourist venues that I found were not to a high standard
We stayed here twice. A few days at the beginning of our trip to Croatia and a couple of days at the end.
Communication with Nevena was spot on and Jago's help with our cases up and down from the 4th floor was an absolute godsend.
Shower was one of the best we had.
Balcony was quite small and the local pigeons seemed to love it so didn't sit out on it.
Bastion is in a great spot for exploring (and getting lost)in the little streets of the old town.
Also not too far from the port and the bus station for exploring further afield
The location could not be better. By crossing the road you will get to the old town. Bus station/Airport shuttle bus is located within 5 minutes walk. The place is rather quiet and rooms are cute and clean. Also an excellent place for remote workers to stay. The owner is very nice as I got sick during my trip and needed some help. He will also be able to give you great recommendations on where to eat and what to see in the city. I could not give a better recommendation to this place!I had a great stay in Croatia!Thank you!
Authentic Croatian accomadation within the walls of the Palace. One of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed in on my travels. The room is large with high ceilings and windows facing the Bell tower..You can here the wonderful opera singers throughout the day which adds that magical feel to your stay..The host Simona was extremely friendly and courteous and spent time telling us the best places to visit and resturants to eat..Highly recommend Riva Palace as a place to stay when visiting split..10/10 Outstanding
A lovely hotel with great staff in a good location, just a few minutes walk from the tourist centre of Split.
Very good breakfast.
Generous sized bedrooms, with large, and very clean, bathrooms.
Our only gripe? Trying to get served at the bar in the evening. Never any bar staff around,
Top tip: turn left outside the hotel and walk away from Split. In 5 minutes you'll find a wonderful little local seafood restaurant called Nevera Tavern, with some tables on the pavement. Best meal we had in Croatia
The room was really quiet despite the fact that there were 22 beds which worried me but it felt like a two bed room.
The hostel is very clean (bathroom, kitchen, reception and everything).
The girl at the reception spoke very good english and she was super friendly and welcoming!
We also met really nice people at the reception so i generally had an excellent experience with the hostel and it is budget friendly.
All in all, i’d definitely book again if i ever come to Croatia, split!
we spent 4 days in Starlight rooms.. the room was super clean and in the heart of Split city center. The size of the room was good and the bathroom was so clean and classy. Mario, the host, is super helpful, he guided us for all the attractions we can visit and also helped us find very good restaurants. He also helped us with luggage up and down stairs. Also he was open to help in our stays in other cities in Croatia. Thank you Mario ❤️ will definitely see you again in lovely Split ❤️❤️.
The room was lovely, right in the thick of Split, an easy walk into the Old Town and close to the city beaches. We loved staying here for a couple days, recovering after our Croatia Sail before traveling onwards.
And our host was beyond kind, welcoming & helpful. We damaged something in the room in an accident and she was very warm & understanding. Thank you so much for your kindness!!
Beautiful hotel located in the center of the old city. Walking distance to all historical sites. Staff is very friendly with positive aptitude to assist their guests, very kind and professional. They keep the hotel very clean. Rooms are very spacious and elegant. I do recommend this hotel. We visit Croatia and Split was our favorited city, we were glad to stay in this beautiful hotel.
Apartment is at super location - you can reach the old town and beach by foot in only 10 minutes. Nearby was an excellent bar - Dalmatian, where yo can buy coffee, then you can pick up traditional Croatian pastries at Pekarnia at the street market. The host was very kindly, we had everything we needed in the apartment. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay with pets.
A really nice hotel, with competent and friendly staff. food is excellent (best breakfast in Croatia!), rooms are well equipped and the pool, spa and gym are welcome. wifi is not the strongest, and the location is a little too far to walk into town for anyone with mobility impairment. Overall, a great hotel though, and would definitely stay again.
Amazing stay at this hotel. Perfect room...very comfortable, clean and modern. Was in a quiet location in Split, but also very close to the main tourist areas. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Air conditioning was perfect, great sized TV at the end of the bed with Netflix account for you to use. Best hotel I stayed in, in Croatia by far.
Perfect stay in the heart of split. We were in Croatia for a wedding and we absolutely loved staying at Ivona’s property. The room is equipped with everything you need, and Ivona added some special touches to make it extra special. She gave us some great local recommendations and also helped us generously with our bags on the last day.
A parking space was saved for us, just across the street. The staff, especially Mate, was very helpful and friendly. Good location for walking to the Old Town. The room was decorated in a nice, nautical theme, clean, comfortable and quiet. Tasty pizza in the restaurant. One of my favorite stays in our 2 week visit in Croatia.
Oh my goodness, what a lovely hotel. Marija and the rest of the staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and ideally located. It was my favorite stay of all the places I tried during my vacation in Italy and Croatia. Highly recommend it to anyone!
I had a delightful stay at Blue and Green Apartments in Split, Croatia. The apartment was impeccably clean, conveniently located near the center, and the host, Tea, was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Split.
Beautiful hotel, fantastic stay. We were travelling through Croatia on our honeymoon and they upgraded us to a penthouse suite when we arrived! It was beautiful, a fantastic view from the balcony and very comfortable bed. Great location, a short 10 minute walk to Old Town.
The stay was very last minute due to a plumbing issue at my first hotel but Laura was very accommodating. Laura upgraded my room and the room I was given was the best room of my entire stay during my vacation to Croatia. I would absolutely stay there again!
Luca and Mario are excellent hosts. The property is beautiful and centrally located for everything in Split. Breakfast is out of this world and the best we experienced during a month in Croatia. Take the tour with Mario, you won’t be disappointed
Right in next to the Caesar's Palace old town area. Hosts were very gracious and spent a lot of time with me providing advise on the rest of my time in Croatia. I arrived at 1 am because of bus problems and the host was there waiting.
