The views both from the bungalow area and their home, the location to the beach, breakfast and the fabulous meal cooked for us one our first night. Karen’s enthusiasm and attention to detail when cooking is top notch.

The small private pool, when clean, is cute and deep, around 5 feet deep, 10' by 10'. It has a dolphin tap to fill it which is also cute. The mango tree on the property actually yields small edible fruit, which we tried. The fridge was quite cold and the freezer froze things completely, a welcome surprise and useful for freezing water bottles overnight to take to the beach. The upstairs breeze deck was cool and breezy. The separate bathroom was clean and the shower had good pressure. No hot water, but none was needed due to the very hot temperatures in March. The grounds were well-kept by a gardener who came daily.

If you're looking for an 'out of the way' place to stay and relax, you can't do better than this place. The pool is fabulous and has a swim up bar, and both restaurants had excellent food. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, and the staff was absolutely fabulous, even calling us by our first names by the second day. The room was very comfortable, the bed was great, the shower was superb (good water pressure) and the A/C worked like a charm on those humid, overcast days.

We ate at the hotel for most meals - food was very good!
We ate at the hotel for most meals - food was very good! I would go back for a private, romantic weekend. Pool is beautiful and while there were a few games I really wouldn't recommend it for a family vacation. Definitely better suited for adults.

There is nothing here at all apart from the hotel.
There is nothing here at all apart from the hotel. The beach is lovely, but so are lots of beaches all over Costa Rica, and many have little places to buy a drink, or some food. If you are staying at the hotel and just want to go for a walk it is great, but definitely not a destination beach imo

It's an amazing place.
It's an amazing place. The beach is too dangerous for young kids, but there are other nice ones nearby. To get there, you need a transfer of a tuff car that can handle dirt roads. We made a few trips nearby and if you plan to go to Nosara, be sure to have an experienced driver and a car that can cross rivers (4x4 car).
Besides that, the place is just astounding in all aspects. Wifi is fast enough even for a heavy data user like me.
The swimming pool is great, and the barmen are always available to do some fancy cocktails.
