We liked that we were at the quiet end of Panama City Beach away from the shopping and restaurants. We loved the ocean view and the sugar sand beaches. However, we had rip currents and stayed out of the water. The resort needs a lot of restoration work. It is deteriorating and the structure has crumbled away in various sections. Panama City Beach is hit or miss depending on what your looking for. The west side is more family friendly. Its been a few years since Ive went and not smelled weed not saw thongs everywhere, but I guess these are the times. It still makes for a little awkwardness with the kids! The water always varies. You will not find more beautiful sand and beaches in the world. No water shoes needed! Please pay attention to flag warnings. The gulf is inviting but dangerous. Even if the water is like glass there is undertow that will pull out the strongest of swimmers. Most areas do NOT have life guards. This is Florida, but NORTH Florida so remember its still often chilly for spring break. The water usually doesn't warm until June but is pleasant until mid October. Traffic is usually bad during peak season so grocery orders, reservations and door dash are helpful!

We were there 3rd week of March, everything was bright & clean just like the pics for us. The pool was very clean, not too packed. There’s a DJ and activities throughout the day. The beach is right there. Chairs start at 50 a set and go up from there for the day. Parking may be the best I’ve encountered at a beach hotel. On the strip, everything is accessible. Breakfast is the normal kind of hotel buffet, weird eggs…waffles etc.

There is a jet ski rental business on the lot next to the hotel, so you can rent one of those, or take a trip out on a tube behind the ski, or even go parasailing - they offer all 3.

The staff is discreet but accommodating. The beach is gorgeous and clean, with the option to rent umbrellas and sunbeds if desired. Otherwise, you can use your equipment. Staying here was an excellent experience!

I even found some dead in my room. In 10 to 15 minutes my wife and I checked out of the hotel and checked into a much nicer hotel call Springhill's by Marriott in Panam City Beach Florida.
