Perfect location in a suite on the first floor. Loved being able to walk to the beach and pool right in our backyard and the strip of bars/restaurants and shops across the street. The hotel food was great and I highly recommend the shrimp stuffed plantains. Comfortable rooms, kind and fun staff, cold AC, beautiful grounds.

The breakfast was awesome. Great strong coffee, fresh orange juice, toast, butter w/jelly & a beautifully prepared fruit plate every morning 7:30-10am. Carlo's was very attentive to every need. He even ran off alittle over friendly iguana 😂 for me, he also arranged a rental golf cart & drove me to centro to pick it up. Above & beyond.

We have day tripped over to Isla Mujeres several times over...
We have day tripped over to Isla Mujeres several times over the past 25 years, but never stayed overnight. We stayed for 7 nights this time. It has become, for the most part, a tourist trap. It is a small island with not a big variety of things to do. The turtle farm was closed during our visit, but we did enjoy going down to Punta Sur, that is worth your $6. It's a good place to leave from for snorkeling and diving. Things are fairly expensive there so don't expect cheap groceries or sundries there. Many places have no prices, so I suspect tourist and locals get different prices. I don't think golf cart rental is worth the money because taxis are everywhere and priced fairly.

This was my second time spending a week in Isla Mujeres.
This was my second time spending a week in Isla Mujeres. The island is very charming and has a lovely local vibe (though there are lots of tourists)--it's nothing like Cancun, though it has plenty of amenities. However this time, I found the services (food, drinks, golf-cart rental, etc) to be very expensive--the prices were comparable and even higher than at home. This was a surprise and we could have budgeted accordingly.
But still, beautiful beaches, water, sunsets, plenty of places to eat/drink.

I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island.
I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island. Besides the beaches, there's nothing spectacular to do that you wouldn't find elsewhere in the Cancun-Playa-Tulum area. Bring cash, pesos, it should be renamed to "solo efectivo(cash only) island", restaurants that accept cards are rare, the rates at the local exchange offices are not great.

Beautiful place to visit!
Beautiful place to visit! Friendly people, great live music, lots of restaurants, and food stands. The water was an amazing color of turquoise blue and the sand was soft and white. It was easy to rent a golf cart and tour the entire island. We had an amazing time!

This was our last stop before the end of our three week...
This was our last stop before the end of our three week backpacking around Yucatan . We stayed for five days and it was just right amount of time for us as Isla Mujeres is not that big . It’s however very pretty and scenic and every traveller should make at least 3 day stop there . Town has many restaurants and shops and if you go further away from the port , it gets even prettier . Locals are very friendly , although in town they’re hard to haggle with about prices ( not as cheap and easy as in Cozumel or other islands ) . You sort of get the feel that there are lot of Americans around ( as it’s close to Cancun ) who tend to pay silly money for souvenirs and locals seem to know that so they’re not budging with prices . So word of advice : if you are planning to get cheap souvenirs , get them in Cozumel or Holbox . Other than that , Isla Mujeres is a very pretty island to visit.

Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers...
Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers as well. So many places to eat and drink but don’t be afraid to wander off the Main Street and check out smaller establishments and the street carts. Family run places are the best. Not the deals price wise there used to be but still decent value.
The view from the terrace is astonishing. The best you could wish for! Perfectly located distantly from the tourists mess of the north side of the island.
We rented two bikes and in 10 minutes we could easily reach Playa Norte and Punta Sur.
There are few restaurants with fair prices in the area but we really recommend Mango Cafe, located just in front of the building. Falling asleep with the sound of the waves has no price! 100% recommended. :) Small tip - the hotel entrance is on the right to the Church's entrance⛪->🏩
What a convenient location! Get off ferry, exit to the street turn right and go 50 meters and you're there! Like a 2 mkn walk with luggage! Completey walkable to all of the north end, very easy no elevation change. Super cool neighborhoods to explore. Best cart rental across the street. The staff were super in both the hotel and restaurant. A bit if a warning as there's a busy street out front so the noise bleed does get heard in the room. Didn't bother me, bit if that's an issue wear earplugs. The view was top!
The hostel is in a good location, as close to the bars & restaurants without being too noisy. One of the few budget options for a double room we could find on beautiful isla mujeres. A bank ATM right around the corner. Minutes to bars & restaurants, about 10 mins to the beach. Coffee in the morning, free water refill in the common area, microwave & kettle in common area, sells beers. Let us leave our bags there for the day after check out, which is always fantastic. Busy with younger travellers.
The hotel room was spacious and we had a great view of the beautiful bay. The receptionist was extremely helpful, providing us with a map of the island and tips for beaches and sunset location. We only had one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The bed was super comfy and the room had everything we needed. And a great location, very close to Hidalgo street which is full of bars and restaurants. Also just 8 minutes away from Playa Centro and Norte - the latter with crystal-clear water.
We booked the superior balcony room overlooking the sea, and the view was literally to die for. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend, with what felt like our own private beach and sea access (it is public but with low foot traffic). You are a few minute walk to the north beach. Large fridge to stock with local beer from the nearby supermarket. The pool area is adequate. With more attention this hotel could be something special.
Everything was perfect from the awesome staff who provided an excellent breakfast everyday, the rooms and building as a whole is kept immaculate, Steve the host is an amazing person with tons of knowledge about Mexico and the local area, if we can secure a another reservation we will be back most importantly because of our stay at casa sirena, the premier boutique hotel of isla mujeres
Amazing place, perfect location right on a quiet beach and na easy walk to anywhere. The staff and owner are wonderful and truly know how to make people feel at home. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and I would not even consider another hotel in Isla Mujeres as I know it wouldn't be possible to match Hotel Secreto. Will be back as soon as possible.
The stay here was perfect! The staff is so friendly, especially Andrea. Great location, we were able to walk everywhere. Even being so close to the restaurants and the Main Street we didn’t hear the loud noise people complained about at night. The hotel itself is very nicely kept. If you like boutique hotels, this is for you!!
The hotel has a fantastic location, right next to the ferry access to the island. and close to the north beach, the main beach on the island and the main street. The rooms are the same as in the photo, there are no surprises. The rooms are very cozy, clean, and have a beautiful view. The staff are very attentive and polite!
The location is fabulous. The gentleman working the desk did a great job and were helpful. The room was clean when we came in. They do not clean the room unless you ask. If you're not looking for a full service Resort, this is a wonderful little hotel right in the middle of it all with a short walk to North Beach.
only good thing is the location, it’s on the north beach, best beach on the island.
having said that, there are dozens of hotels on the playa Norte that are much cheaper and have a thousand times better customer service and a smiling, fun and polite staff.
Perfect location. Beautiful ocean view, 11/10 best hotel location I’ve ever seen. Big nice towels. Multiple pools, great downstairs area with pools, tables, music etc.
Amazing location on the best beach. Hotel super nice. Loved the food and drink choice. It was fantastic. I had a room with a great view. It was a very comfortable stay
best location on island, walking street with restaurants and shops nearby, great beach, hotel use beach lounge chairs and umbrellas, very helpful and courteous staff!
The hotel was directly on the Malacon therefore listening to the waves from the patio was beautiful. The Hotel is walkable to North Beach and close the the town.
