We spent 10 days at the hotel and left with mixed feelings.
For every positive point we had, there was always a little "but" that spoiled the overall impression.
- We were traveling with a dog and staying at hotel was free of charge for the pet. But before entering the room, we signed an agreement with a long list of requirements for the dog's behavior in the room. As a dog owner I can say that they are almost impossible to fulfill. But it was the last time somebody in the hotel told us about these rules, so they really love pets :)
- Of the 4 hotel managers we communicate with, Olga was the one who best met our own subjective expectations of courtesy and hospitality. She was interested in our comfort. We are very grateful for everything she did for us.
- Our room on the 6th floor had a beautiful view of the sea and the old town.
- The bed is comfortable and soft, but it is two beds with two mattresses with a joint between them. And you just can fall between.
- All our requests and problems were dealt with very quickly.

A touristic city. Nothing else rather than tourism here, or swimming at the sea at season I guess. The city is composed mostly of 3-5 storey buildings. There are picturesque mountains around but you cannot really walk there, at least not without riding up by taxi. Lots of construction work around, sometimes you are confused how to go because whole streets are closed. There is nice litte "old town" touristic spot, I liked it the most of all.

A lovely place to visit and the Montenegrin people are so friendly and welcoming. Spent most of our evenings walking around the Old Town within the walls. The Piano Nobile restaurant within the Old town is a must and we dined there on 3 occasions. We felt very safe and saw No anti social behaviour at all. Already planning a 2nd trip later on this year and this time we'll stay in the Old Town.

For beach people. Kotor is very different in this regard. I ran the coastal path from Budva to Sveti Stefan and back and recommend this to any runners. You pass many cove settlements and beaches you otherwise wouldn't know about.

Very nice city.
Very nice city. I travel to Budva so often and love being there.
For the first time visitors, I recommend that they'd better choose summer season so that they can have much more fun and enjoy the environment (in and out of the city) and of course swimming.
The old city is quite unique day and night. You can have especially dinner at restaurant Jadran just by the sea. Next to this restaurant, there is a pub, named Bike and Beer. Its owner is the same of the restaurant. You may spend a night in there and enjoy the music which is performed by two grumpy looking elderly men. To me, they are perfectly play their guitars and sing.
Babaloo is a snack restaurant and bar. They have a very satisfying menu. This place is on the ground floor of TQ Plaza, the only shopping mall of the city.
Should you try your luck, you can visit the casino in the Splendid Hotel, ten minutes away from the city by taxi.
Inside of the old city walls, there shops and pubs. You can spend some time in one of them.
And more... To be honest, I'm tired of writing.
Go and see. You'll understand why I love Budva.
Do not stay only in Budva. Visit the other cities on the cost of Kotor Bay which is the only fjord in Mediterannean sea; Kotor, Tivat, Petrovac, Perast, HerzegNovi.
Please do travel up to Zabljak, a city towards to Serbian border in north. Visit Durmitor Natural Park and Tara Canyon (2nd in the world and the biggest in European) and try zip-line... On the way up to Zabljak, you may visit Ostrog Monastry that is placed on one side of a hill like it's curved in the rocks.
Overall this is the best hotel I have stayed in over a 1-year period in Montenegro. It is also one of the best I have been to in terms of quality/price ratio in the world. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and provide all the amenities you could expect from a hotel room. I also got a free upgrade to a superior or family room and it was extremely spacious but even the regular rooms are great. All the staff is friendly and professional. I want to especially highlight Bojana's work. She was very quick to react to all wishes and requests.
Big, sunny, well appointed room and bathroom with balcony and seaview, perfect location at the beach, next to the Budva Old Town, lift from the floor to the square, perfect cooks providing excellent choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner, very polite and helpful staff - waiters, reception, pool, amenities, wonderfully helpful cleaning ladies, any wish fulfilled. In our 40-years travelling experience in ex-Yugoslavia, the Avala Hotel resort is the best hotel we have been to. We can recommend it whole heartily !
We liked the hosts the most - warm and helpful people. They helped us a lot not only with finding a parking place for our car, but also with city tourist taxes, which must be paid upon arrival in Montenegro.
The apartment is extremely clean, the view from the window is beautiful - you can see the sea, the Hawaii of Budva, the old town, you can drink coffee on the balcony and watch the sailing ships.
Close to the shop, the old town - everything is within walking distance. Recommend this place!
Perfect interior decoration and engineering that made every inch of the room effective. Brand new equipment and furniture. Nice to meet the owner who is next door, very friendly and dedicated for real and sincere hospitality. Support for official registration (must in Montenegro. Don’t miss). Reasonable place. Wide horizon with the sea view at the end. Next to the largest discount market in Budva and to a restaurant that is delicious and with reasonable prices. Fibre high speed internet.
Awesome location, amazing view! Staff is gorgeous! Girls are friendly, helpful and always smiling 😃 Room was great, with all necessary stuff, big enough, clean and comfortable.
One beach is 2 min away and the other one is 5-7 min away from hotel through beautiful tunnel, very convenient!
Grocery stores, a loooot of great restaurants nearby. Close to Budva, Sveti Stefan and other beautiful sightseeing. Highly recommend Svetionik! All our big family loved this place.
La Vila Boutique Hotel is a destination within a destination. It is a property that is well situated in Old Town Budva with easy access to a n extensive selection of restaurants and shopping venues. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and extremely clean. I found the proprietor, Ana to be extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of Budva and nearby towns. Ana and her staff members together enhanced my visit to Budva and made it very enjoyable.
The location of Hotel Montenegro is fantastic- it is right on the beach, and is walking distance to the main strip of Budva. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Yaraslav, the lifeguard/waiter- he gave us great tips about what to see and what to do, and even helped with our swimming technique! There is also a great range of food at breakfast, with hot and cold food always being replenished throughout the sitting.
The perfect location in old town and by the beach, with a view better than all the 5 star hotels around. The hostel is fully renovated, fresh, clean & super cool style. It's a place you have to experience if you are visiting Budva. I was coming for 2 nights, ended up staying for a week and even still didn't want to leave. Nicola and Milos are the friendliest hosts ever, I will miss this place and definitely come back! 😊
Guest house andrea is best of the best for Budva!
People are so nice and they can be the most friendly people in all Montenegro. Many thanks to Marco and his lovely family! You should definitely stay in Guest House Andrea. I traveled more than 50 countries around the world and I couldn’t see the lovely and friendly people like house owner Marco and his family! Thank you so much for everything!
Maria, the hotel's administrator was extremely friendly, helpful and kind, she even gave us some tips on traveling in Montenegro and how everything works there! Her advice was extremely helpful!
The pool and the view from it was amazing, you could relax and have some quiet time without being distracted by the bustling city of Budva, which you were able to view from the pool itself.
We loved the staff, they were too friendly and helpfull. We got too many recommendation for Budva. Matija at the reception was great and helped with any little details. We are planning to visist that hotel again. Pool was great, private beach was awesome(3mins by waşking and no need to pay for sunbeds) It was HB and breakfast+dinner were amazing. Thanks for everything.
My family and I enjoyed every minute being in Montenegro, Becici/Budva 😍🇲🇪 and we were glad to stay in such a beautiful appartment - beautiful views, welcoming hosts, spacious apartment, sauna, swimming pool, balcony, garage, everything what you need for perfect stay. We had an unforgettable time there, we would recommend Montelux appartment to everyone❤.
Breakfast was excellent, also kitchen is really great in this hotel. One of the best in Budva and Becici. Hotel restaurant staff members are simply amazing and they are giving their best to provide a great experience for all guest during the breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have only great words for all hotel staff members. Thank you for having me!
One of the best host we ever had.Kind, welcoming, flexible and smooth check in and check out process.
The breakfast buffet is great bakery fresh and very attentive staff.
Highly recommended if you make your holiday in Budva or nearby.
Super clean and modern furnitures.
Stay here if you visit Montenegro.
Thank You Villa Kentera for everything!
This hotel was like a resort - absolutely outstanding in every way. Excellent rooms with a view, the breakfast buffet was amazing, we had dinner at the restaurant that was delicious and impeccable service through and through. Can't say enough. If you're looking to spend some time in Budva, this is the place to be. Private beach.
Hotel staff were very nice a helpfull. The location of the hotel is very good, it is very close to the beach and a 30-40 mins walk to the Budva old town. Good outdoor pool area, indoor pools and spa are also nice. The breakfast was not especially variable but it was okay.
Good location close to Old Town. Sea is close, too, but still need to walk (there is only 1 hotel in Budva which is located right at the beach, and it's much more expensive).
They have animation during summer months; breakfast is OK 7AM-10AM.
The View was mind blowing. The Host Jelena & Misha are amazing people made us feel home and helped us with everything we needed. They know how to make their guest comfortable. Recommended to everyone who want to visit Budva, Montenegro.
Reception were very kind and well.. receptive. AC seemed to be actually relatively cool the room (not common in Budva hotels). You have a supermarket right next door.
Fair value for price I’d say.
Everything was perfect. Officers very helpful people. We had a great time in Budva. The location of the hotel is very central. Owners are very helpful.
