The beach in front of the property is like something out of dreams and fairytales. The water is so sparkly and the whole environment is so serene. The property itself is incredible and has been so beautifully decorated. I would come back in heartbeat!

We stayed at this hotel out of season. The reception was not working, but we were always in touch with the staff. In case of any questions or problems the staff was very quick to help.

Bar is an interesting city, not only a touristic, but also a harbour one. You can meet some exotic people here, and some exotic wares at shops' shelves. Most of the city is composed of private houses, therefore it sprawls quite wide, 10+ km along the coast line. But it is long and thin, so to say, and you can always reach sea quickly.

We had the opportunity to visit few cicties on the seaside like Sutomore, Budva or Ulcinj but Bar seems to be quite calm and not crowded place. Additional Bar has it's railway connection with capitol city and aeroport what gives a better possibility to arrive there.

Bar is second largest town in Crna Gora.
Bar is second largest town in Crna Gora. With opportunity for major
redevelopment over recent decades, the centre has been well planned
with an eye to "green" environment. The same may not be said of the
suburbs where there is pressure to intensify building.
The railway and bus stations are on the edge of town - the railway
forming a boundary crossed by bridges to the suburbs beyond. The
docks and port are well separated from the town centre. Some local
public transport exists but seems fairly sparse - fares are cheap.
This is a human-scale town for which a mental map could be easily
developed within a few days.

An interesting place with a beautiful Old Bar.
An interesting place with a beautiful Old Bar.
The heavy traffic on the roads was a bit of a nuisance, and since we were getting around the city and its surroundings by bicycle, we missed having dedicated bike paths.

Bar is very well organised town in Montenegro, with good logistic, normal functioning traffic and parking space. It has a beautiful boardwalk with nice bars, restaurants, and other amenities.
Bar basically has everything that you need, and it's much less hectic than other bigger towns on the Montenegrin coast.
For nicer beaches, one should use some kind of transportation. . .
Maja and her family are super friendly and helpful. Really best hosts you can have. She helped us with planning our trips, gave directions and drove us to the train station on our last day. She was always there whenever we needed help. Place is super calm, you can relax after going back to your your room. There is a bakery and a market very close to the apartment. I really recommend you to stay with Maja whenever you are in Bar, Montenegro :)
This was our first visit to Montenegro. The apartment is large, comfortable and clean. It is very well equipped. It has a large terrace with a wonderful view of the sea. It's about a 10 minute walk down the hill to the beach and promenade. There are plenty of parking lots by the beach if you don't like to walk. Host is very communicative, friendly and she gave us a lot of useful informations.I recommend it.
We had a wonderful stay at apartment Carpe Diem! The apartment was just as advertised, clean and had everything you need whether you stayin for couple of days or planning a longer stay. The owner is very sweet and kind lady, very helpful and friendly who gave us a warm welcome and a bottle of homemade wine! Highly recommend to whoever wants to spend time in city of Bar.
I have been few times in Montenegro and definitely this place is best for rest. Unique apartments style, breathtaking views from rooms, pool and private beach. What’s more, the restaurant is vegetarian and vegan friendly! Each person from Dollaku Apart-Hotel was so friendly for us, we are much more than satisfied.
The apartment is located right on the old street that leads to the castle. From the windows there is a beautiful view of the mountains. Nearby there are many cafes, a large parking lot, an ATM, a grocery store, as well as a tourist information office - where you can register after arriving in Montenegro.
Spacious apartment in centre of Bar, in very vicinity of shops, bars, beach. Fully equipped, great bar between kitchen and dining area. Quiet location, ideal to both solo and family travellers. Owner Damir is one of the kind, hospitable and ready to assist for anything.
Fully recommended!
The setting overlooking the Stari Bar outer walls is amazing. The restaurant is second to none, which is a call, as most restaurants in Montenegro are very good. The spa is very well appointed with skilled and friendly staff, happily serving you in beautiful surroundings.
We Will Be Back!!
Communication with the Hotel was superb. I had a late arrival and 5am departure. The staff could not have been more kind if they tried. they even provided a beautiful packed breakfast for me to take as I left before breakfast was served. room was large, quiet and comfortable.
Actually this is just a restaurant with rooms for rent on the 1st floor, not a hotel per se. There are very few hotels in Bar whatsoever.
Very good location, right on the sea side.
Excellent breakfast.
Good restaurant.
Pleasant and friendly staff.
Clean.
The hotel is great, the staff is very pleasant and
the food is delicious. The town is little and quiet, ideal for families with small children. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel is a small beach where it is possible to enjoy without crowds.
This will become our regular vacation destination. The hosts are absolutely wonderful, the facilities are spectacular and the view is the best in Montenegro. Hosts made us feel as if we were family. Thank you for a memorable family vacation!
It was the best reservation that we had in Montenegro. Room was spacious and cozy, we had extra bed and facilities was fresh.
There are great nude beaches in 10 mins by walk. Host was extremely helpful and friendly.
Very clean and modern looking hotel and rooms. Self serve breakfast included. View from the room is very nice and in front of building is a walking street, lit at night.
I liked this hotel. Good value in my opinion.
Great apartment with great views from the balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. The apartments are clean with everything you need. If you want to relax in Bar, then I recommend these apartments. 👍
