Bar is an interesting city, not only a touristic, but also a harbour one. You can meet some exotic people here, and some exotic wares at shops' shelves. Most of the city is composed of private houses, therefore it sprawls quite wide, 10+ km along the coast line. Bar is second largest town in Crna Gora.
Bar is second largest town in Crna Gora. With opportunity for major redevelopment over recent decades, the centre has been well planned with an eye to "green" environment. The same may not be said of the suburbs where there is pressure to intensify building. The railway and bus stations are on the edge of town - the railway forming a boundary crossed by bridges to the suburbs beyond. The docks and port are well separated from the town centre. Some local public transport exists but seems fairly sparse - fares are cheap. This is a human-scale town for which a mental map could be easily developed within a few days.

Bar is very well organised town in Montenegro, with good logistic, normal functioning traffic and parking space. It has a beautiful boardwalk with nice bars, restaurants, and other amenities. Bar basically has everything that you need, and it's much less hectic than other bigger towns on the Montenegrin coast. It has a large terrace with a wonderful view of the sea. It's about a 10 minute walk down the hill to the beach and promenade. There are plenty of parking lots by the beach if you don't like to walk.
