The staff were so friendly and the hospitality was amazing! The hotel's restaurant have many delicious dishes, and it's very good. Also, our room was really great and confortable. For sure I'd like to return for a trip in Vianden and be hosted at Petry Hotel.

Every now and then you stay in accommodation that makes you wish you were able to live in permanently, and consider redecorating your own house. This is one of those places. The owners have exquisite taste in terms of decor, and at the same time have created a comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Small details (you can try their impressive tea collection and enjoy the equally impressive record and CD collection) make this so much more than just another hotel/apartment. The staff in the cafe downstairs are very friendly, and for a drink and something light to eat I would not bother going anywhere else. Vianden is a lovely town to walk around, visit the castle or do a bit of hiking.
Set in a traditional house, Youth Hostel offers dormitory rooms with shared bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. It is situated in the village centre, less than 200 metres from Vianden Castle.

- The hostel was easy to find and well deserved by different bus lines
- I had the full room for myself during my 4 nights stay
- at some point I was the only one in the morning for breakfast and the canteen lady simply asked me what I wanted and bring it to me
- Good heating system
- decent bed
- The view from the window
- Good WIFI

A lovely place to visit for a number of reasons - attractions, hiking, dining etc. Easy to get to but within the town can be hard to get around because it is on a hill. Riverside area is really relaxing.

Fantastic location in the heart of the Ardennes.
Fantastic location in the heart of the Ardennes. Obviously, in times past an important strategic crossing point for the River Our. Plenty of architectural history and the "Disney land" chateau overlooking the town.
Most of the time. its a quiet medieval town, but walnuts are a important part of the local economy, and the second weekend in October is the annual walnut festival. They close the historic town centre on Sunday and the town goes mad, with thousands of visitors. So if you want a hotel room that weekend make sure you book early.

It's a pity the crisis has left its mark as a few places now seem to be closed. On the whole, though, it is still a lovely town, very picturesque and, if you have time, do not forget the castle.
By the way, the Du Pont restaurant is a cheap but good place to eat and has a lovely view of the river and the bridge.

The castle has a good structure and artifacts to see. I miss of one access to see the Vianden city on the top, cause this is blocked on the way.

A really beautiful and quaint little village.
A really beautiful and quaint little village. The castle is well worth the trip. A really informative, self guided tour. A very enjoyable way to spend a few hours. Vianden itself is a photographer's dream. Just so scenic and peaceful.

Beatiful and charming.
Beatiful and charming. A nice little town for whoever likes to visit places where a lot of history has been preserved. It´s quite a hilly region, which ads to the charm, whereas the rest of Luxembourg tends to be more flat.
I loved the place for 2 reasons :
1) the fantastic view over the castle
2) the simple style of hostel brought me back to old school days. Old beds and common shower (gender separated of course) like in old days. Not many places left where you can get this feeling.
Also, there is friendly staff, they told me which restaurants have reasonable prices and they let me deposit my luggage at lunchtime.
Great breakfast buffet.
Cheapest option in a small town which has mostly expensive hotels only.
This is a very nice family hotel. small but very well kept. owners really look after their guests and are very attentive. the room are small but well designed, bed is very comfortable and nice walk in shower. the restaurant is very good, steaks are a must here. very nice breakfast as well. parking for free not too far from the hotel. only a few minutes away from the castle. highly recommended.
A lovely hotel on the bank of the river adjacent to the bridge - a fantastic spot. We had a big room with a view of the castle from one side and a lovely view into the village from the other. The restaurant provided lovely food with great service. Breakfast wasn't anything special but we saw our first communal egg boiler which was a fun gimmick.
lovely hostel just next to vianden castle. the dorm I stayed in was quite spacious and everything was very clean. the location is perfect, you can see the castle from some rooms. breakfast was included which was also very nice. the staff were very friendly and happy to help! 10/10 I would return
Personally I don't need a television in my room or my own bathroom, so I'm happy to see that hotels like these still exist. The hotel could be so much better though, just a bit of love, some detergents and better communication and it could easily become a 7 or 8
Great family hotel. The room was spacious and crystal clean, bed comfortable, breakfast not huge but acceptable for an active day. Very helpful owners, they gave a lot of advices where, when and what to do interesting through our short staying in Vianden.
beautiful cozy room and hotel, the staff was welcoming and very nice, gave us our room early. Everything was perfect. The breakfast was ok, could have had more warm foods but other than that great coffee and pastry :) thank you!
A friendly hotel, well located in a pretty little village that was a great stop-over.
Staff were friendly and helpful and motorcycle parking was provided at the back of the hotel. It seemed a popular choice with motorcyclists.
Lovely hotel and town. Nice balcony overlooking gardens and hills. Decent sized room. Quiet at night. Excellent location for visiting castle and walking around -I really liked the tips for activities. Overall great stay!
Hotel Heintz is a beautiful hotel with beautiful art and antiques tastefully appointed throughout its premise. It has an old world charm and yet provides homely vibes, with excellent service and good breakfast.
My husband and I always book this hotel, we've been here five times now and we keep coming back because the hotel is lovely, it's clean, the food is amazing and the castle view is just breathtaking.
It’s ok for one night to see castle and go to restaurants.
Good choice of breakfast (€15 extra with city tax)-for this money it’s not worth it.
Good there is place to park motorcycle.
Great location. My room had a really beautiful view on the old bridge and the castle, a truly romantic view. The rooms were also efficiently furnished with a seat, a table, etc.
