Very nice location overlooking the new marina, on the sea-front, in a very quiet location
Rooms and hotel have been renovated since my last visit pre-covid - it was always well finished, but now it's really great

Beautiful location. We stayed in one of the mansard rooms. Super views and perfect balcony for afternoon drinks. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Featuring a swimming pool and free Wi-Fi, La Riserva di Castel d’Appio offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Great location with fantastic views. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with terrace, small garden and superb view. The stairs down were a bit tricky especially for clients with mobility issues. The rooms were spacious with basic furnishings and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious with large walk-in shower which needed some adjustment to prevent leakage onto the floor. The rooms are quite dated and if neighbouring rooms were occupied limited privacy on the terrace but it was not an issue for us.
We enjoyed a good dinner which was quite pricey but overall worth the money. Service throughout was exceptional.
The outside area and pool terraces were great we had breakfast on the terrace enjoying the far reaching views.
Located just 200 metres from the seafront on the Italian Riviera, Hotel Provenza has air-conditioned rooms with a minibar, private bathroom and satellite TV. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Location is perfect. Beach on the other side of the road . 10min walk to restaurants on the promenade ( definitely recommend "la grotta"), 20min walk to magical old town. If you are coming by car like we did, then 50 min to Monte Carlo via Menton ( no tolls) and if you fancy a bit of peace and quiet then trip up in to the mountains ( around 40 min) is highly recommended.
Private parking it's a big plus and if you need anything, drink or a snack, then OK Market is literally opposite the entrance gate.
Friday is a market day in Ventimiglia and we do recommend to see that too.
Big thanks to Andrea( lady in the reception) . She doesn't speak English, we don't speak Italian or French but there was nothing we couldn't achieve with Google translator :))
Casa Fenoglio is housed in a 16th-century building. It is a 5-minute walk from the tourist harbour in the medieval town of Ventimiglia, and 8 km from the French Riviera.

Hotel is in an excellent location in the old quarter of Ventimiglia. Easy access from the railway station. Breakfast is good and there is a shared balcony that overlooks the old quarter. The host is very welcoming and helpful. We have stayed here before and the standard of the hotel is always good.
Set in Ventimiglia and only 22 km from Forte di Santa Tecla, Agriturismo Soleada offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

This was the 2nd stay here. Massimo and Francesca are so welcoming we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The bedroom and shower room were very clean and with plenty of hot water. We ate a delicious meal here the evening we arrived, prepared by our hosts. They use fresh local produce including from their own greenhouses. Also, once again, the breakfast didn't disapoint. We hope their business goes from strength to strength but not so much that we can't get a room here next time!! 😉

Ventimiglia is a traditional border town with beaches, an old quarter, a market, a new marina and usual choice of cafes and restaurants. Excellent location for visiting nearby Italian towns and french towns are easily reached using reliable trains. Great location for visiting Hanbury Gardens (15 minutes by bus).

We liked that Ventimiglia is very close to popular places such as Monaco, Menton, SanRemo. Day trips very easy to do. Some areas of Ventimiglia were dodgy but overall people very friendly, prices reasonable and beaches not overcrowded

Ventimiglia is a little gem of a place. Overshadowed by Nice, Monaco and Menton, but take that extra few kilometres into Italy and you will be well rewarded.
Great food, super beaches and everything is a short walk away.

We stayed in Latte, a taxi ride out of Ventimiglia in an agrotourism hotel. It was nice to be in this quiet spot and although it was a steep climb up to the property the views were glorious.
We had the breakfast provided and otherwise bought food from the very good supermarket in Latte.
The only thing that would have been useful would be to understand a bit more about the public transport options. There were buses but it seemed we would have had to catch 2 and not knowing the area didn't want to chance not making connections so we got a station taxi.
Our main reason for coming was to see the Hanbury gardens, and they were stunning but not for the feint-hearted with lots of steep climbing.

Ventimiglia is a very earthy working class town so not the place to show off, strut your stuff. Ventimiglia keeps it real!
Definitely be there for Friday market on seafront, thousands come from miles around including Nice etc to snap up bargains eg linen dresses, tops etc at much lower prices than posh shops in nearby towns! Trains packed in both directions all day as result.
Eateries just downhill from station, turn left to Bookcaffe etc tried 3 here all excellent!

It appears to be one of those unknown quite and a very beautiful tourist spot. It’s a nice village right at the French border. The train ride to Ventimiglia from Milan Central station is just about 4 hours. I traveled from Ventimiglia to Nice. It’s about an hour’s train ride. On a beautiful sunny day, you get to see some of nature’s most amazing sights during the train ride - make sure you seat on left side when the train travels from Ventimiglia to Nice - this is where you see the beaches, sand, cliffs, expensive yachts. Small towns of Menton and Ventimiglia are surrounded by major cities such as Genoa, Monaco and Nice. These small towns are perfect getaways for a short trip away from the bustling cities.
Best part - Ventimiglia is not expensive. certainly not as much as any of these cities. And is a very comfortable drivable distance from all of these cities. You can stay here and have nice short day trips to surrounding cities.
The apt was very well located across from the pebble beach and within a 7 minute walk of grocery stores on Via Roma. It was also in the heart of restaurants, cafes and gellateries along the ocean promenade. The apt had most facilities to make it comfortable for a few days stay. Sara, the host, was always available via WhatsApp to answer apt and Ventimiglia questions. Overall, decent value, comfortable and in a great location!
The location was great! Very central, close to the main streets of Ventimiglia and the beach. The staff were awesome, very friendly and helpful! Personally, the breakfast was varied with sweet buns, yogurt, a variety of cereals, cold cuts, cheese and fresh fruit! Very pleasantly surprised there! The room was on the smaller size but very clean. The added bonus of the small balcony and clothesline was much appreciated!

The location was bar none. Like a fairytale. The history of the hotel and restaurant was so special to learn about and even more, that it is family owned. The dinner was wonderful. I tried several dishes and couldn't possibly have a complaint. Compliments would not suffice. Our view from our room was very charming. I am delighted that it was the place my partner David proposed to me.
Well stocked of coffee, tea etc. What a lovely apartment. Well located, well designed and well provisioned! Thank you so much for giving us an enjoyable stay in Ventimiglia. Strategic location to easily reach other places in Italy and France by bus or train. We will recommend to friends and family. Our hosts Carlo and Eric have been very helpful. Thank you so much!
Arrivederci!
Lovely apartment and host was great.
Location was great to access the train (15 min walk) and multiple stops along the coast as well as Ventimiglia town and port.
Be prepared to climb a lot of hills and steps if you're on foot around the apartment but if you are prepared to put the effort in was well worth the stay 🙌

The apartment is new and is easily the best furnished apartment we’ve been in. Everything was provided and everything was in excellent shape. Everything was beautifully done. The owner was immediately responsive regarding a question or two. This is easily the best stay we’ve had in Italy.
We spent almost the week in the apartment just in the historical centre of Ventimiglia enjoying cosy apartment, full equipped kitchen, the terrace, and nice view from both sides of the building. The nearest sand beach: the Calandre beach.
A really beautiful, quirky place to stay with one of the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. Although not far from the main road to Ventimiglia town it was very quiet & peaceful, set in lush vegetation & flowers.
We loved being so centrally located in Ventimiglia. The room was large, comfortable and clean with a big beautiful bathroom. The balcony was cute and there was a drying rack for clothes that we really appreciated!
The B&B was beautiful, clean, and very close to the train station. We really enjoyed our time there! The owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting Ventimiglia!
Staff was excellent, friendly, premises are clean and well maintained. Quiet location. Town is magnificen, specially the old Ventimiglia. Pool is a good addition when you don't want to go to beaches.
Awesome place! The room is just lovely and the terrace gives you an excellent view on the old city. Fully equipped with TV, aircon, ... I would definitely come back here when I stay in Ventimiglia!
It was such a homely stay at Ventimiglia 🫶🏻
The host was extremely generous and humble to our requests!
The room is ultra huge, loved every bit of the apartment 😍
