The location is close to a few of the local towns and there is a swimming pool (wasn’t open while we were there but it looked great for kids, shallow at the edges and big enough to play in.) The room (apartment) is huge, two double bedrooms and a nice sized bathroom and living area)

very good location, panoramic view of the city, mountains. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, good breakfast, very tasty coffee. You can order lunch - it was inrcedible, we ordered it every day during our stay, I recommend. Incredibly responsive and kind hosts, left a very pleasant impression of the stay.

The room was just in front of the train that was very convenient. It was big, comfortable, quiet and very clean. But the best thing was the politeness and sense of humanity of the hosts. My train had a 40 minutes delay and I also missed my stop. The hosts offered to come and pick me up from the next stop 20km away, at night. I will never forget that.

Scalea is a historic town, so besides the beach and the sun you can also discover its historical charm. The town is rugged. Don't be afraid of gentle hills ( almost all towns in Italy are like this).

Lovely beach town with good restaurants. la Piazzaetta is a favorite of the locals who entertained us on open-mike night. Antica Trattoria a Taverna is a long walk uphill to the old town. We had half liter of vino bianco locale with the shared special antipasti served with bread which was very filling. The pasta dishes that followed were delicious but we should have shared that too. Best not to visit Scalea in July or August when it is very crowded. We visited in mid-September and had a very nice time.

Scalea is a warm and friendly town.
Scalea is a warm and friendly town. The restaurants are abundant and serve outstanding Calabrian cuisine. The beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. If you are traveling with a young family, there is much to do...not to mention how safe Scalea feels.

The historic district is like stepping back in time - ancient homes and pathways...and lots of stairs to climb. Not for those with difficulty walking. The downtown area and beaches offer plenty of places to stop for a cappuccino and something sweet, a quick pizza or a delicious extended meal.

Lovely old town.
Lovely old town. The old historical part of the town offers a lot more character & charm than the beach front boardwalk (which was often dirty and rubbish not collected). Definitely worth walking up to the old Castle for the view. Great restaurants in the old town Il Tari and La Rondinella.
1. Great location, 5 minutes from a very decent beach
2. Cozy flat and furniture, very pleasant stay and wonderful evenings with a glass of wine on the balcony. We liked overall marine Italian style of the flat
3. AC and dishwasher, this is really cool, saves time and adds comfort
4. It's really easy to get the fresh air, when you open all the windows the whole flat breathes instantly
5. The building itself in a good state comparing to a lot of old buildings in Scalea
6. Owner was very polite and answered all the questions really quickly
Beautiful apartment! Two balconies with screens on the doors to keep bugs out. Large bedrooms (3) each with private bath. Nespresso type coffee maker, milk foamer/heater, electric kettle, microwave. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar, juice, pastries, bread, jam all provided in unit. Host even brought fresh bread and a tart on first morning! Five minute walk to beach. A/C in each bedroom. USB plug on both sides of bed. Nice view from balconies.
the hotel is absolutely amazing. it’s located in a 5-min walk to the beach and the sea. the hotel is well-equipped and has all neccessities for your stay: wi-fi, AC, parking. when you enter the hotel there is an area with tables, coffee machine, tea kettle, plates, cutlery and is free to use. this hotel is cleaned daily. the staff of the hotel is extremly friendly and helpful
The hotel is very nice, but the highlight is truly the private beach. We enjoyed the clean, clear water from our free beds and umbrellas. Very family friendly, from my 11 year old son to my 84 year old father. We could each lunch and then jump right back in. The pool is nice, the breakfast good- great stay and great value.
We had a really great experience! The staff were so kind, welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond the standard to make sure we were comfortable and had a great trip in Scalea. The location was great, the room was nice and air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
This place was simply outstanding!
Location is ideal, we parked and didn’t use car once.
Shopping , dining and beach all within walking distance
The hosts are warm and welcoming . They made us feel at home
The cleanliness and decor both outstanding. Highly recommended!
The property is located near the beach and its close to the city centre. The host Vittorio is the best I stayed with so far, very kind, very helpful, always available. This was the second time I was in Scalea and just for the host alone I am convinced it was not my last time.
Very nice hotel next to the sea. The rooms are clean, overlooking the sea and the garden. It is very pleasant to spend time on the balcony. Breakfast is tasty, varied. Fresh pastries are served. Overall we recommend the hotel.
Nice and modern with 2 large windows. Nice large wrap around balcony with a thing to dry your clothes. On the zero floor - just 5 steps up and you’re there. Perfect place if you have many luggages. Beach is very close.
The hotel is located in a very quiet area except frogs croaking from the neigbours pool ;-) Very nice and charming hosts. The view is spectacular. Breakfast is various and individually served - with fresh made orange juice!
The hotel location was very good close to the beach and the city center. The staff was friendly. There was terrace where you have breakfast. Breakfast was good selection e.g. croissant, cakes and cookies.
Clean secure and stylish A/C room, discreet and safe, located in an atmospheric part of Scalea old town.
Very clean bathroom, and room fridge for drinks to help with the Italian summer heat.
Lorenzo, the host, was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to accommodate us
Perfect location, few minutes walk to the beach and shops
Clean, well equipped kitchen

Quiet
Wonderful little hotel is very comfortable and cute. Good service and clean rooms. In general is the atmosphere created with soul and sense of style.
We'll return again!
Perfect ancient stone dwelling in the heart of the old town. Nicely decorated and equipped. Friendly owners. Super clean and we are former hotel owners, Great value.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel staff was very helpful, giving us a good recommendation for dinner. Our room was smal, but comfortable. The view was lovely.
Great location! The room was modern and clean and had everything I needed. Comfortable room and everything, the beach, centro storico, restaurants were close by.
