There is so much to like at Casale Dalmanuta, I hardly know where to start. It is beautifully situated at the foot of Collelungo, a picturesque hamlet on top of the hill, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Despite its remote feel in the Umbrian countryside, towns like Todi, Terni, and even Perugia are not too far away. The bed- and bathrooms are spacious, and like the rest of the property, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The private swimming pool is large, regularly cleaned, and overlooks hills and fields. Parking is private, secure, and right next to the house. What stood out for us the most, however, is the hospitality and friendliness of the host - Michela. She went off her way, at times quite literally, to make us feel welcome and at home. The sumptuous breakfast comprises, among others, a range of breads and cakes and treat she herself prepares. It is evident that running the Casale is a labour of love for Michela, and that she takes pride making her visitors feel valued and comfortable. We are seasoned travellers, but our stay at Casale Dalmanuta truly was an unforgettable experience for us, and one that we are sure to repeat in the future.
