Crossroads is one of the best places I've stayed in. I came and it felt like home and I extended my stay for 10 days. The property is beautiful, converted from an old house, beautiful furniture & art with fruits trees and fields all around. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings and easy to reach by public transport too.
The best part about it is the wonderful people running it, Aflu, Manu, Gayatri, Sundar, which made crossroads feel like home. Sundar makes a variety of amazing and food ( eat his bread omlette)and Trance is the loveliest dog you'll meet! I had my 'summer vacation' chilling on the hammock, walking around in the village, playing games and eating, soaking in the serenity and I loved it! Manu also took me for a run and it was fun to run through the open fields with the sun setting. But if you'd like to go around, there are plenty of spots around and the hosts will help you with it.
WiFi is great. Budget friendly stay and food too and serves both long and short term travellers. Varadoor is not commercialized so it was good to see an authentic glimpse of Kerala's village life.If you are a nature lover, crossroads is hard to beat!
