A good point to break a ring of Kerry trip and it was very affordable.
The pub and shop next door were very handy.

We arrived at a very disorganized and dysfunctional establishment that was quite difficult to find, even with the mixed-up directions provided.
When I tried to clarify some issues with the host, she responded with, "I shouldn’t even be here, it’s my day off." This didn't address any of our concerns. I tried to change to a different room due to the confusing layout and the number of stairs, but was told they were fully booked but after pushing it, i was given a different room. Then for curiosity I checked their website and was able to book three rooms for the same night, so clearly the “we are fully booked” was debatable.
The hotel supposedly offers free parking, but we were told it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Considering the number of rooms, many guests would likely have to struggle for street parking.
The bed was okay, but the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. There is a fridge, but it was warmer inside the fridge than the room.
There are 12 downlights in the room, with two switches on the wall, one of which does nothing, while the other turns all 12 lights on or off at once so its all or nothing! Additionally, there are no bedside lamps, just a tiny reading lamp with very low wattage. There isn’t even a towel rail in the bathroom.
The rooms are noise transparent, noise travels heavily throughout the building so you can hear whats going on in the room above you and hallway noise is very bad. Also for a room for two people, there was only one arm chair and when asked if it was possible to get another one, we were told yes, but we never saw it which is consistent with the disorganization.
The rate is advertised as including breakfast but what is provided is a joke. A couple of pastries i. a paper bag, hung on the door overnight lol.

Sneem Hotel offers rooms with views of Kenmare Bay or MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range. Spacious bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and there is a gym and restaurant.

WE stayed here four nights. When we checked in they advised we had been upgraded from a double room to a family room. Great sized room with a king and a single bed, two desk areas, two armchairs but no fridge, even though there was a space for one or where one had been. Lovely views of the Estuary. Breakfast was very good with continental and a great choice a la carte cooked. Very peaceful surrounds and only a 5 minute walk into the village. Some very nice restaurants and cafes.
The Butler Arms is directly opposite the beach in Ballinskelligs Bay, Waterville. The hotel has views of the Atlantic Ocean and offers spacious rooms, a seafood restaurant and free parking.
Overlooking Dingle Bay, midway between Glenbeigh and Cahirciveen, Caitin's is a traditional old-style pub with guest accommodation. Access to the Kerry Way walking route runs alongside Caitin's.

Comfortable surroundings at a reasonable price, with a bar (with food) at hand where it was possible to meet not just other guests but also local people. The room was equipped with all that was needed. The staff were ready to help in any way they could.
