Great location for exploring the area Good breakfast (especially as the host states breakfast not provided - don't do yourself down Vicky, it isn't always about a cooked/fry up breakfast) we loved the choice and plenty of it! The decor, surroundings, car park and just ambience was fabulous .... felt completely chilled out Great eateries in walking distance of the accommodation Vicki the owner is so lovely - personable and professional .... made it feel like 'home from home'

Blarney made a great post for us to adventure around the south of Ireland. We spent 5 days here bouncing from Cork to the coast and in between. It is small and quiet but charming. There is plenty to visit in the town so we did spend a whole day here as well visiting the castle and local shops.

Blarney is a wonderful little town.

Blarney is a wonderful little town. We enjoyed eating at Muskerry Arms Bar and Christy's Bar while we were there. Everything was walkable and felt very safe. We also bought a few items from Blarney Woolen Mills. This store offered the most Irish wool clothing of anywhere we saw throughout our tour of the country. We also visited Blarney Castle and grounds. The gardens around Blarney Castle are incredible. There is so much more to see here than we expected. Our trip was in March, so we needed to wear a light winter jacket, but that also meant there were no lines for kissing the stone and touring the castle.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. However, facilities were poor with no on-site restaurant after 4pm, reception area small, food only available in the pub next door. Fine for a business trip but not for a holiday, very basic.

It is a fab hotel but there is something going on with the lift. Every time we got into the lift there was a really bad smell. It smelt like sewage . When we were leaving that morning it was really bad. Other than that l had no complaints . Very happy.

    The hotel was lovely.

The hotel was lovely. I was there during a very warm spell so opened the window for air. Unfortunately since my room also overlooked the parking lot, there was noise and light pollution. This would not have been a problem though, but for the open windows.

Lots to see here in addition to the castle.

Lots to see here in addition to the castle. There was no wait line to see the stone and I still spent about two hours looking around the castle and grounds. Note there is a considerable climb up a tight, circular, old stone staircase to get to the stone! But you can see most of the castle without climbing.

It exceeded expectations, rooms were gorgeous and clean. Staff were kind, accommodating and helpful. The bus that would bring you into cork city was basically right outside the hotel. Breakfast was great and the space where it takes place looks so lovely also. The en-suite bathroom was very good too - especially the shower which was easy to use with regards to temperature adjustments, turning it on and towels were easy to reach in the shower so the floor outside didn’t get wet.

Adam greeted us on arrival and showed us the room ; there was a good selection of breakfast items and a toaster, kettle and small fridge for our use which was great. Bed was very comfortable as was the seating area. We could easily walk into Blarney so we didn’t need to use the car and there was a good selection of pubs and restaurants where we could eat. Blarney Castle grounds were lovely to walk around. Adam was very friendly and was around if we needed any help or advice .

Absolutely the best B&B in Ireland!! Olwyn and Douglas are such charming hosts. The rooms are very large and gorgeous!! The breakfast was delicious and the room where it is served is beautiful! When I saw the pictures of it online I knew that's where we needed to stay and it was even more beautiful in person. If we get to return to Ireland we will definitely stay here again, just longer next time!!

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel! It was located in the heart of the city and we could easily walk to all of the locations that we wanted to visit! We wanted to visit the Blarney Castle, which was a simple 10 minute walk from our hotel. The staff was super nice and the rooms were huge! We also loved the pub that was on the premises and the breakfast was delicious as well.

Hotel was connected to Blarney Woolen Mills and had a bar and restaurant. Walking distance to Blarney Castle too. Location was excellent. Food in the cafeteria and at breakfast was better than expected. Rooms were comfortable, but a little stuff (not much window area to open the window). Nice staff and overall very happy with the accommodations.

It was a lovely place to stay. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The food and service were excellent. The rooms were a great size, decorated, and fitted to a high standard. The location was ideal next door to blarney Castle. The local pub served nice food and a local bus arrived every half hour a short journey in to cork city.

Book early. So the suite of 2 bedrooms came available unexpectadly, so we were lucky. Hotels in cork were 400 for 1 night for one bedroom and we got 2 with à kitchionette. The beds are comfy, it has its own door, parking and the host vicky leàves you alone. Its close to a garage wìth hot food which opens at 6am in blarnèy

The hosts were delightful and the house was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and there was a big variety to choose from. Our room was charming and had probably had the roomiest bathroom of any of our stays Ireland. Plenty of free parking available and just a five minute drive to the pubs and Castle in Blarney.

Owners are absolutely wonderful and had set up a complimentary breakfast in the kitchenette. Would absolutely recommend for couples (or solo travelers) who want to see Cork and surroundings but prefer greener areas than the city. Blarney is lovely and the accommodation is a 15-20 minute drive from Cork City Hall
