The room, two queen beds, was lovely, One small night table held a great device that housed all kinds of plug -ins and charging receptacles. imho, each bed should have a separate light so that one can read and the other can sleep. Nice small fridge. View of the Citadel (Room 1626) and close to the elevator. Close to many places to eat. Quite pricey, especially the parking!!!! Fabulous breakfast!

Halifax is a very attractive port city with many old buildings and newer ones which are also well worth seeing. Great boat trip options, including the ferry to Dartmouth plus the highlight being the Harbor Hopper in Halifax which is an amphibious bus which starts off the tour on land and then goes into the sea. Much of historic interest is in Halifax, including the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which has features on the Halifax explosion and the Titanic sinking. Also the citadel fort has much military history and great views. Halifax is a very walkable city which includes the pedways where you can walk between some shops and hotels without having to go outside to negotiate your way through the traffic on the way to somewhere e.g. the boardwalk and is also ideal if there is bad weather. The lovely boardwalk stretches almost 4 km in total and is brilliant for getting exercise and seeing the sights while walking down it, with plenty of free chairs to relax in along the way. Also there is a great central pub called The Split Crow and nice restaurants nearby in the central area.

I was there primarily to see "Mandy Patinkin in Concert", so I can't review Halifax for you, other than the driving experience... Street signage could be better in a lot of the downtown core... but yes to coming back to see more of it....

I've stayed in this city many times.
I've stayed in this city many times. Always lots to do no matter what your interests. It has a pretty vibrant night life, and I've always felt safe here, no matter where I walked. Lots of history, lots of night life, lots of dining options (Seafood is a MUST!!), lots of tours, museums, etc. I live in Ottawa, and Halifax easily compares in the museum and history aspects, and in some ways is even better. Go there. You won't be disappointed!!

Halifax is fantastic.
Halifax is fantastic. We travelled there 2 Septembers in a row (4 and 2 days respectively). if you stay downtown, you are able to walk to all the local attractions- we especially loved the boardwalk, citadel, and shopping downtown. Many many fabulous restaurants and museums. Also, fun to stay in Halifax proper and take excursions to local attractions( ie Peggy's Cove and Laurencetown beach) Prepare for rain - but this in no way detracts from having fun in this great city

If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour.
If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour. Lots of historical information about Halifax. A tour of the Citadel, important or historical sites and a brief trip into the bay to see the Halifax Harbour. Two thumbs up and very reasonably priced.
This is a beautiful, modern hotel with a classic, elegant feel. Super clean. The executive suite we stayed in was lovely (other than the street-noise issue already mentioned), with floor-to-ceiling windows offering great views of downtown and a partial view of the waterfront. The staff were all very courteous and professional. Wonderful location right downtown, walking distance to restaurants, shops and the waterfront.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Strong WIFI. Great working area.
An onsite washer and dryer for the convenience of guests to do their own laundry. This is a fantastic feature and all hotels should consider providing this facility.
Quick and efficient response from maintenance when required.
Great parking. Access to downtown is fairly easy.
Vending machines in the lobby.
the prince george hotel and a in a great location between the citadel and the wharf and is perfect for exploring Halifax. The beds were very comfortable with a variety of pillows and bedding to suit all. The rooms are clean and quiet and service is excellent. While we took advantage of the rooftop bar for happy hour and nibbles we opted to explore nearby cafes for breakfast.
Close to downtown Halifax. The gym facilities were a nice bonus (this is where we showered - bring your towel or a rental is $3.50). Cheap price to stay. It had a Starbucks and Tim Hortons on site. It felt safe with 24/7 security and 2 sets of doors to lock. The staff is kind, especially Shirley in the C-Store. They gave us recommendations on where to go and what to see.
Superb hotel in a great location on the waterfront, rooms were extremely well designed with top quality toiletries and lovely touches such as chilled water bottles in the car was returned from valet parking. Loved the concept of the 'speakeasy' bar for hotel residents only -amazing views from there and such fun to knock and be let in!!
The location is very convenient, closed to downtown(waterfront).Route 1 bus station is in front of the building, which directly reaches out waterfront and Halifax shopping center. The price is affordable. There is a 24-hour front desk, they are all students, very friendly. Clearly marked and easy to find. Located on campus, very safe.
Amazing beautiful hotel over looking the bridge great friendly staff and awesome location ten minute walk to the Alderberry ferry across to Halifax downtown.Pool was perfect temperature and work out room was fantastic, beds where extremely comfy wanted to take home the pillows.
Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and plenty of food and variety. The hotel was close to many amenities, including restaurants and shopping, and convenient to a ferry to the Halifax waterfront.
Nice, clean room with expected amenities. No microwave, but one was down the hall in the lounge worked out for us. Loved the location as it was walking distance to downtown Halifax in a decent neighborhood.
The location was perfect for us as we were interested in visiting the waterfront boardwalk. Walking around downtown Halifax was our interest and we enjoyed the NS hospitality and the weather.
This is a nice facility with a friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is very good. The location is not downtown Halifax but we liked the location.
the location is the best literally the 320 bus from the airport dropped us in front of the hotel and from there it was fun walks to anywhere in downtown Halifax .. the wifi
The staff was lovely upon arrival the hotel was very clean. The location is central to everything in downtown Halifax. Which made it very easy to walk around downtown
Excellent beds, easy parking, spacious room/bathroom, nice front desk staff. If you have a car, it’s a decent value compared to staying in downtown Halifax.
