I like the best:
Walking area along the Surfers Paradise beach
All the shops and restaurants close to the hotel we stayed, walking distance.
I didn't like:
The noise often made by some drivers, bike drivers

excellent location, tram service is great and always on time, staff are friendly and helpful, price was reasonable for 7 nights.
Lots of cafe options along the beach front serving excellent meals with awesome staff and service.'
The Lazy Lobster in Main Beach is a must if you like Seafood Chowder-the best ever my number 1 pick on the menu, however the rest of the menu is just as perfect as well.
The Birdcage in Main Beach is another restaurant, a little bit pricy but it was all worth it.

Great beaches and coastal walkways and some super restauants...
Great beaches and coastal walkways and some super restauants and cafes. Its a busy location, fairly intense in comparison to say the Med, which might be an unfair comparison, or even Noosa on the sunshine coast which is quieter. For me its too traffic oriented and spread out, the amount of traffic is heavy and for me spoiled the relaxation experience. There are some great places to eat along the coast but a lot are spoiled, in my opinion, by the 4 lane very busy Gold Coast Highway being in close proximity. The tram, once completed could make a big difference. In my opinion the whole thing is too linear and stretched out, so for many locations, necessitating having a car, which for me isn't a holiday.

Didn’t stay in Surfers this time as it is tired looking and the hotels are expensive for what you get
Southport has a lot of potential but there is an undesirable element there that make you feel unsafe
Good Asian cafes in Southport & access to the tram is convenient and enjoyable

Very busy even in the off-season, so pick your time there carefully and also choose your accommodation in relation to what you want to visit. Getting around the G/Coast, even by car, can be slow.
This hotel is located in central Gold Coast, only a short 5min walk to the beach and surrounding Soul boardwalk (a strip of dining, shopping and attractions). Driving to and from places, like the theme parks, was also very convenient and with the Bruce Bishop car park ($50/week) right behind the hotel made for easy commuting.
The room was very spacious, together with a small kitchenette and balcony (with a good view). The bed was super comfy and the pillows had the right level of 'density' (not too hard, not too soft).
The location is spot on perfect, it is central to ALL amenities :) the apartment itself had everything we needed to be able to stay in also, having young kids this was super handy. I would highly recommend to any family. It was a little expensive but it was also peak season and we are glad we paid that little extra money to make our stay stress free. We stayed in two types of apartments, one week the Gold Coast views and the second beach front views, both apartments are amazing and will not disappoint :)
My family and friend had a fabulous relaxing time here. All the apartments have a spectacular beachfront ocean view with no adjoining walls. Location was perfect - handy to action on main beach, Broad Beach, Pacific Fair, restaurants etc. We were 20 steps from the beach. Apartment and the whole block were well maintained and very clean. Managers Karen and Michael were welcoming with a positive energy. I have booked many apartments on the Gold Coast and this is up there with the best stay.
Location is great. The Gold Coast is perhaps the most overrated destination in Australia, but popular with some domestic tourists. This results in high costs which don't equate with the other countries. So forgetting that for a moment, the facilities were fine to a point, a tram ride away from Surfer's Paradise and near cheap and mid range food options. The hotel/bar is very cosy and friendly. It's a slice of Australiana in an otherwise gaudy destination.
Location was good, about a 5 minute walk to the Florida Gardens tram stop (chose not to hire a car for the trip). Visited for the Gold Coast Marathon weekend so the spa bath in the room was handy after the marathon. Close to shared walking/e-bike/bike path junction near the Langham Hotel which made walking up to Surfers Paradise or down to Broadbeach easy. Property kept me informed with check-in and check-out information via text.
Love staying here, was a couple of streets over from the main street and right on the waterfront so perfect spot to be at, within walking distance of everything, stayed here a couple of times now and each time my family and I have loved it and been blow away but the apartments, facilities and views, would recommend staying here always so cheap too
Been staying at Meriton suites since 2019
This time was so expensive and the unit outside was dirty
The toilet seat was broken the shower was broken really dirty outside, the aircon unit covered in mould.
There are much cheaper and better places on the Gold Coast
No more recommendations no more staying there
Thanks for the my time there.
We enjoyed every bit of the property. We are a family
Who go away a lot but usually stay at a hotel, however will choose big 4 Gold Coast any day.
We have also stayed at other big 4 SA, Coffs Harbour and NSW the Gold Coast is by far the best one yet.
We have already booked our next stay for January along with my sister and her family.
I could not fault Moorings. From my initial booking, emails with staff and meeting Jess on arrival, the customer service was the most outstanding I have received at any of the Gold Coast hotels/apartments I have stayed in, and there have been many!
It was fantastic!
● Impeccable customer service
● Apartment was amazing
● Location
Booked a last minute, 1 night trip just to visit family holidaying in the area and was so pleasantly surprised that I plan to bring my family back. The resort is lovely. Modern, straight across the road from a stunning beach, and with parking and breakfast included I don’t know why anyone would stay on the Gold Coast itself.
First class, the 2 bedroom spa room was very spacious and clean with wonderful modern decor!
The facilities were great and the staff were so friendly. The Q1 is now 100% my new ‘go to’ hotel on the Gold Coast - just AMAZING!!!
This hotel is a class above any other luxury hotels in Gold Coast. We picked the Langham as we wanted a hotel right on the water, and it did not disappoint. The facilities at this hotel are of a extremly high standard.
this hotel is in a great location. we also booked very late (as another accommodation fell through) and this hotel was the cheapest that looked decent enough to stay in. the view, pool and spa were amazing.
