We loved this cottage, it had all the necessary amenities and it was really well presented. The cottage was immaculate, it was in an optimal location that allowed us to explore the local town and the surrounding areas. The host was always available to answer any enquiries and questions. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway in the peak district.

Offering garden views, The Barn Studio is an accommodation situated in Millers Dale, 41 km from Alton Towers and 41 km from Capesthorne Hall. The barn was exceptionally clean. The kitchen had all the utilities we needed. The decor was very cosy, and the location was quiet. It was nice that the tv had BBC iPlayer and Netflix, so we were able to relax and watch Paris olympics in evenings after all-day hikes. We hope to come back again.

Definitely recommend booking Brook Cottage if you’re in the area… it’s in a stunning location with wonderful views and yet still incredibly close to amenities, pubs, cafes and the Picturedrome. The attention to detail is fabulous and it’s clear the cottage has been lovingly renovated to deliver all the cosiness you’ll love, with a modern twist. We were particularly touched to see milk in the fridge and snacks in the cupboard, and the number of USB chargers around the place worked well for us too. The property is spotlessly clean and tidy as well as very tastefully decorated - a real home from home.
