Kiel seems to be a nice town with a broad range of shops an amenities. We did not go there by choice, but to attend a family event involving the death of a close relative. Our stay was short so I am not the best person to give an opinion, but the amenities we did use were fine. There were some nice restaurants. The big event there is Kiel week, when the harbour filled up with boats. Kiel week took place during our stay and we saw some magnificent three masted schooners sailing along the Kiel canal. At the Baltic end of the canal we saw a regatta, of small yachts sailing about in a very disciplined way. If visitors pick the dates of their visit carefully they can have a very interesting stay, but of course, when these events are taking place, prices rise quite a lot.Guest review byKEITHUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Premiere Classe Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town with many restaurants nearby to choose from, as well as shops for quick shopping. Our bicycles could be safely stored in a designated bicycle room in the garage under the hotel. Staff were efficient, but nice.
