I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing.
I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We were treated to beautiful weather and a large flocks of wood pigeons!

It was very cold, but luckily it didn't rain and where we've stayed our heatpump was amazing. Dunedin is beautiful with very old beautiful buildings and lots of noisy students walking in the main streets until very late talking very loud and kicking rubbish bins.

We just stayed one night on our way to Stewart island as we have been here many times.
We did a trip to Port Chalmers as we hadn’t been there. It a a cute town with a working port. Worth a look and a bit of a walk around.
What a fabulous hotel - design focussed, modern and not in anyway pretentious. The atrium and open hallways are beautiful and allow the art on each floor to be viewed as a whole. Loved the wee lounge areas in atrium. The initial sense of quiet and calm is superb beginning with the hassle free check in having pre done it all online. The beds are so comfy and the interior of the room was lucious - especially the bathroom. The mini bar was so reasonably priced we almost used it!!
The cafe is delicious - best coffee in Dunedin.
The stuff was super sweet and friendly and they are easy to reach. The hotel is clean and well stuffed. A lot of parking space! It is in a pretty and quiet neighbor hood and walking distance to the busy town. We parked the car and toured the area by foot. Close to everything and a lot of super nice restaurants especially Japanese and other Asian restaurants. We recommend this place and will come back to stay again.
The room did have it's own 'old hotel' charms, beds were comfortable, decent restaurant and a cosy bar. Excellent location in Dunedin with the centre of town just a few minutes' easy walk away, and equally as close to attractions such as the historic train station and art centre, and the settler museum. Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. The cost was right for us as we were budgeting strictly at that point.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Also in the southern side of the city which makes it an easy drive to the airport.
the layout was very nice, we had a 2 bedroom unit and the floor plan made it easy to move around in the apartment without getting in the way of other people. For example, the bathroom and kitchen were not on top of each other which you often see in motels.
The hotel is in a great location within a short walk of the restaurants and pubs on the octagon. There is available parking which is critical if you have a car while you stay in Dunedin. The room was comfortable and had Sky TV. Very comfortable bed and a clean room with a few chairs so you could relax a bit in the room without having to sit on the bed.
We needed somewhere central to stay in Dunedin. This hotel suited us very well….though central it was very quiet, peaceful with friendly staff and roomy facilities. Our room had a large comfy bed, large tv and a good shower. Breakfast was tasty and served very quickly. I liked the outdoor gardens full of roses in full bloom.
It was a great location next to the Settlers Museum and historic train station. Within a few blocks of lots of restaurants and shopping. The free parking was a convenience and with everything so close, we walked everywhere.
The hotel had a very nice lounge overlooking the street where I worked on my computer.
The rooms not only look stylish but everything was finished so well- from the quality of the furniture, to the room size, to the hot high pressure shower, the shampoo/soap/tea/coffee etc inclusions and the comfy quiet room! We loved eveurthing about our room, it was such a lovely hotel experience.
This is our favourite hotel in Dunedin due to its location, facilities & hospitality. The staff has always been amazing. Mike even let us check in very early (10ish) as soon as we got to Dunedin city from the airport. Thanks heaps Mike. Hugely appreciated!!!...
The apartment was fantastic, located near the centre of Dunedin. Very comfortable and clean with excellent kitchen. Hosts provided milk, bread, fruit etc. After some of the places we had stayed on our trip it was luxury.
This hotel and staff are one of the best accommodation spots that I have stayed in Dunedin . Booked a small room and they up graded me to a bigger room no additional cost . Breakfast great staff and owners are lovely .
Enjoyed staying at this hotel for a number of reasons. Very welcoming hosts, great location to town and rooms were good size and very clean. No A/C in room so we were provided a fan which was fine.
Beautiful spot, well thought out interior design, warm, cosy and friendly host with great communication. Definitely exceeds expectations and will be back, far far better than a hotel. Thanks guys
The location of this hotel was perfect for the purpose of our stay, the parking was ok although very tight but it was first come first served which was fair enough
Amazing facilities! We loved the decor and the way in which the hotel has been set up! So close to everything - in terms of Dunedin’s food and dining experiences.
