We recently stayed at Quest on Durham in Tauranga and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, both managers went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made a real difference. They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and made sure everything ran smoothly. The apartment was clean, tidy, and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. I also appreciated the secure parking, which gave us peace of mind. The location is fantastic just a short walk to town, with cafés, shops, and restaurants nearby.

The shower kept switching between extremely hot and cold water, making it impossible to enjoy or even take a proper shower.

The spa didn't work due to the plug not being in properly and wasn't able to fix to have spa bath And cook top didn't work either to cook a meal

The shower curtain is definitely too small! Water from the shower goes everywhere. And there was nothing to sit clothes on or make up bag.

Underground Parking - we were warned it was tight to get there but worse than expected.

Great location, close to city center, and restaurants. Range of cooking appliances and utensils which was a surprise.

Great location! On arrival, the very thoughtful receptionist upgraded us to a family room at no extra charge. This upgrade came with washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, 2 rooms and a open planned lounge, dining and kitchen area where we were able to spread out comfortably.

Rooms were a little dated - the 3 bedroom apartment bedroom doors were more like cupboard doors with gaps in them and a glass wall between the bed and the hallway, with the blind on the outside of the room. Quite strange. Carpark is 4 floors underground and quite a feat if you have a big car. I ended up leaving the car there the whole stay as I didn't want to drive it out and back in again.

Good location close to the theatre where we were working. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was good. Nice kitchenette in the apartment.

There a bit of roadworks in the area and some roads were closed. Not an inconvenience just made the initial arrival less smooth.

Most important we have stayed here many times and always book quest hotel on booking.com. However our friends booked an identical room under the name Harbour Steps and their room was $40 cheaper. There is no signage to show a different hotel name. I do not understand why there is a price difference and think this is really unfair. Bathroom .. only 1 small light was working. No heating in bathroom. A heated towel rail would help. Shower over bath is outdated and unsafe nowadays. Silicone was mouldy.

I booked a studio room through Booking.com but was give an apartment which had a few things missing.

The staff were very nice and helpful. We called in the morning to ask to change rooms because of noise from a night club. Then woken up early by construction noise!. We had a mobile number to call and the manager was very understanding. At 9am we went to reception and were able to move to a new room at 11am.

The couch was worn out and flaking on the fake leather which could of just been thrown away and the chair already in the room placed there instead .For some reason the shower was burning hot or cold but got it sorted after a while .

The location was fantastic so close to shops and restaurants and the water .Had all we needed for our one night stay .

The shower temperature was not stable so the water got extremely hot on a couple of occasions whilst showering. A clothes airer would have been helpful as the clothes were still damp after washing/drying

Our room was quite dusty. Even bedside tables dusty. Start up the air con and get a dust storm! First time we experienced this.

The hair conditioner bottle was empty they didn't fill it. The tissue wasn't in the room or living room. My room was Road view...It's a noise early morning ..

Everything was good and clean tidy. We can watch Netflix. Close to restaurants and walk to the beach.
