Enough to do (or not) to keep everyone happy.”The washing machine was not plumbed in which was a bit inconvenient as we we stayed for 14 days and packed for 7! If you book check with Santina to see if it works.
Santina was at the property to welcome us and show us around. She is a very nice and helpful host who went above and beyond what she needed to. The house is set in a beautiful quiet location in the low foot hills of Mount Etna with a view of the sea and surrounded by countryside. It was a well laid out and comfortable house to stay in. The garden is lovely with outside seating. The nearby village of Piedimonte Etneo has a good selection of shops like butcher, bakery, a grocery selling fresh fruit and veg, pharmacy, restaurants and some wonderful cafes selling the most amazing pastries and pistachio cream and granita. Goodbye waistline! It's a short drive to the village or a pleasant 15 minute walk along quiet roads. The nearest small town, Fiumefreddo, about a 15 minute drive away also had a good selection of shops etc. and a railway station. Take care where you park! We got a £25 fine for getting it wrong. The main motorway to Catania or Taormina is easy to get to and very cheap to use although the train is a better way to get into Catania. Mount Etna is only a 1 hour drive away and we enjoyed the cable car/4x4 bus and walk to a crater edge. The views are incredible but make sure you go on a clear day. Taormina is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. **** Many smaller businesses do not take card payments so make sure you take some Euros ****

The description and photos on offer correspond to reality. The place is quiet and beautifully located, no one else is there. The house is a bit old-fashioned, but cosy and comfortable, equipped with all necessary appliances. You feel at home. The beautiful garden with comfortable furniture helps you to relax. Great contact with the host, wine to welcome you, advice on visiting or using the house.

I spent two unforgettable nights at this property, which impressed me from the very beginning. The rooms were perfectly equipped, with every detail thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort. Breakfasts in the garden, among olive groves and citrus trees, accompanied by birdsong, were a true delight. The view of the sunrise over the sea in such a charming setting is something I will never forget. It’s the perfect place to relax and recharge. I highly recommend it!

It's a nice villa in a peaceful area. It has a lot of character, the landlord really put a lot of effort into it. The terrace is nice. The location is great for trips to Etna, Taormina etc. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a washing machine.

First, it was hard to find it and when I found it, I wasn't sure if it is the place,because it had long grass around it etc. Main reason why we wanted this house, was to let our kid play outside, but the grass was longer than him! Inside there was this funny smell and everything was rather dusty and since I have a dust allergy, I was sneezing and had runny eyes. It's full of stuff! Like pointless garbage - clocks without batteries, cardboard boxes etc. Just random stuff. It looks really abonded. Dishes were all very dirty. Everything sticky. The owner was a funny lady - one way I feel sorry for her - she has lost her husband and clearly has trouble to move on and clean the house from their past. Other way - the way she talks, blaiming everybody else, talking badly about guests - she has no respect for the guests. Guests are there to get her money and that's it. Guests are not welcomed. I really feel she doesn't like people in her museum- house and we also didn't like being here. It has been so far my most awful booking.com experience and I have been travelling a lot.
There was a nice view and I am very thankful that the owner organised us the chair for the baby.

It’s a dream place: a cute, very cozy villa surrounded by olive trees… and the view… OMG! You can see green hills and the sea! Loved it!
