Nothing was perfect

Beautiful apartment, with rooftop terrace. Very clean, comfortable beds, private bathroom & in a great location. Vincenzo & Salvo were amazing hosts, they provided us with a lot of local information & places to eat. Breakfast at 901 cafe below the apartment- best coffee & food in Catania! I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.

The apartment is beautiful, very cozy and with a stunning view. Everything inside is just perfect and well thought out. The location is amazing – close to everything you might need, with easy access to shops, restaurants and attractions. The host is incredibly helpful and attentive, always ready to answer questions and even sending daily suggestions of places to visit, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay!

The property is the penthouse apartment in order to boast the fantastic terrace at the top - because of this, there are a number of stairs to climb in order to access the property. Worth the stairs in my opinion!

Comfortable bed, fantastic rooftop views of Etna from terrace, excellent location as well as friendly and welcoming host.

If you're very tall you might have to be careful not to hit your head in the appartment.

Vincenzo was the most welcoming host i have ever met in my life. He is in incredibly helpful, friendly and a wonderful host. He always answers quickly and gives great recommendations. The appartment is beautiful and the terrace alone makes it worth a booking.

As the property is at the top of the block, there are a lot of stairs to climb in order to reach the front door.

Very comfortable property in an excellent location. The roof terrace was a definite bonus! Most attentive host who constantly checked that everything was ok.

Just the stairs up to the apartment but it is well worth it

The host met us in person to show us around the apartment and had made sure all the essential products including bottled water were already in place. He also left biscuits and fresh produce as well as supplying useful information on places to eat etc The views from the terrace and balcony were fantastic as well as being really useful spaces to relax!

Everything was great!

From the moment we arrived we felt very much at home in La Terrazza sul cielo. The host allowed us to check in early and we were delighted with the generous local foodie treats he'd provided for us. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is clean, bright and comfortable with amazing views from the outside terraces - sea, city and Etna. We were very impressed with extras provided which we'd never found in other apartments, for example there was a first aid box in the bathroom. The apartment has great character and is decorated with local ceramics and tableware, with plenty of plants and flowers outside. Well situated; easy walking distance to the main city sights and metro. The airport Alibus stops nearby and is only 4 euros. Highly recommended. We absolutely loved it.

The apartment exceeded all our expectations, the view is amazing (morning coffee on the terrace with the view of Etna :) cleanliness is good, the location is perfect, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a long weekend in the area.

Property is ideally located near the center of Catania . The flat was very clean with all amenities and a rooftop with an amazing view on the Etna ! The host Vincenzo was a gentleman! Superb views over Catania, sea views and Etna views. I have stayed in Catania a few times, as my passion is exploring and climbing volcanoes. This is without doubt the very best apartment I have stayed in anywhere in Sicily. The owner communicated via WhatsApp and through the booking platform, and met me on arrival. I was shown to the apartment (including how all the keys worked to outer doors etc, so confident coming and going). Very kindly left fresh tomatoes, fresh pears, water, butter etc. I was shown how all the appliances worked including the expresso machine. The apartment itself is full of character on various different levels, a well equipped kitchen, a comfy double bed, a good sized living room, but you will spend all your time on the lovely breakfast terrace, and then on the rooftop terrace with a sunbathing area and a full size dining table and chairs. You have 360 degree views of the city of Catania, views to the sea, and views of Mount Etna. There are motion activated solar lights on the roof, and it is not overlooked. The apartment is in a very good area of Catania, you are just a few minutes walk from the Alibus stop (with buses to Catania airport every half hour or so, for 4 euros). You are 2 minutes away from Via Etnea with all its bars, cafes and shopping, and just five minutes stroll to the lively fish market with all the fish restaurants. Next time I go back to Catania, I will definitely stay in the apartment again if its available. I would point out there are about four flights of stairs to the apartment, which I knew about in advance. But the view from the apartment is well worth it. The stairs are good exercise before climbing volcanoes!!! In summary, great apartment, best part of Catania, super friendly host. Highly recommended.

Seven flights of stairs with luggage!! Low ceilings in places

Wonderfully decorated comfortable accommodation with stunning views from the roof. Very helpful owner organised our taxi to the airport. Good kitchen wiht generous welcome pack. We would love to have stayed longer.

The only thing not to like is the staircase. But, you can’t have a rooftop terrace without stairs!

So much to like. It’s a very comfortable apartment, with a fantastic rooftop terrace. There’s everything you need, and it’s close to the centre of town, with a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby.

The owner of the property was very accommodating and a very kind and gentle man. The view from the terrace provides a 360 view of the city including the volcano and the sea which is truly breathtaking. The location is perfect and only a 2 minute walk to the centre. There is a beautiful coffee shop below the apartment which sells gorgeous pastries and coffee. I fully recommend this property.
