The AC was not strong but we were able to leave the window open for some nice cool air in the evenings.

The location was perfect. There were many restaurants and cafes within walking distance inside of the old town. It was also only a short walk to the more modern part of town where there was shopping and more restaurants. We loved how quiet and clean the old town was. The room and bathroom was very spacious which was very nice when traveling with many pieces of luggage. We also loved the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast and coffee each morning. Lastly, the staff was extremely kind & helpful.

We could not find how to turn on the heaters in the bathrooms, other than that theres nothing to note.

Absolutely wonderful property. Very well located in the historic center of Cosenza, and with its own charcter and charm. The hotel is a reformed/being reformeded XVI century building. The rooms are wonderful and very spacious and confortable. Checkin was very easy an the staff very helpful. We only wish we had more time to explore the city and the property.

Lots of steps and bathtub may be challenging for some.

Very nice couple remodeling family property. Location and views are amazing! Parking is not a problem and owner has updated specific directions to the property. Very nice stay.

For me, it was wonderful. Pending age or comfort, just note there are a good number of stairs.

What was not to like? It is located in the perfect part of town, the historic center. Very beautiful buildings and winding streets, with easy access to important sites and delicious restaurants. The views from the building are amazing, including the roof deck where one takes breakfast and can spend time lounging during the day as desired. The rooms were clean and well designed, along with the building having historic charm. Parking available upon request. The owners were wonderful, and it was great to get to know them. I look forward to recommending Dimora de Matera, and can’t wait to return myself. It truly was a special spot!

Hot water in the mornings for showers was sometimes inadequate or nonexistent. We mentioned the situation the first time it occurred but it happened again later in our stay. There is no elevator and the building is on a hill so be prepared for a lot of stairs and to carry your luggage.

Breakfast was excellent in quality (healthy, varied), and the ambience (terrace with wonderful views) was superb. The view from our room on an upper floor was lovely. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The terrace with hot tub was a perfect place to relax. The building is old and is being lovingly restored. We took advantage of the private garage and were happy that we had done so.

Lots of steps up to rooms, I think I counted 56, we were ok with it but no good for elderly or infirm unless you were super fit.

Right in the beautiful and interesting old town. Such character. Modern rooms in an impressively renovated historic building. Wonderful breakfasts on the terrace with very helpful hosts who love their building and their town. Really nice restaurants, particularly a 'Salumeria', with local style, sophistication, and great flavours.

Beautiful place, amazing views from roof terrace. Fabulous breakfast. Clean well appointed room. The town of Cosenza surpassed all expectation. A bit quiet in siesta time 😉 The old town is amazing. We climbed up to the currently closed castle. The views are amazing and the rustic street views and art are surreal.

Micheala was a wonderful host, providing us with a nice breakfeast every morning, filling us up with great coffee and even making eggs for us. We ate on the terrace taht had a spectacular view of the Calabrian hills.

You have to be ready to go up two flights of stairs, BUT, Giacomo and Michaela, the owners are very nice and help you with the language
