- From US$52.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 492 reviewsWhat a beautiful place, the accommodation is gorgeous and the hosts are brilliant Thank you Rian and Alan for our amazing trip to Addo. Rian arranged a day safari with the most wonderful prepared Braai and Alan spent the day with us going out of his way to show us as many animals as possible. We stayed in the two bed Cottage which was so beautiful with views over the plantation from the deck, the cottage was spotless and had everything that you could need and loads more. Rian prepared a beautiful meal for us on our arrival (this has to be prearranged) the food was so beautiful and fresh.Guest review bykerriIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 889 reviewsCandice met us on arrival, she was the perfect host, warm and friendly and a lovely personality. The lodge was in a lovely garden setting. Our standard rondawel room was clean and comfortable, the shower was good with hot water. Emilia looked after us very well. The breakfast and evening meals were good with plenty of choice and Lorraine and Yomela looked after us, nothing was too much trouble . Tea and cake was served in the afternoon and the outside fire was lit so you could sit and enjoy a drink before dinner. We enjoyed a day self driving in Addo elephant park which wasn't far away.Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom
- From US$66.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 468 reviewsWe were made to feel so welcome and Everyone, Owners and Staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and so thoughtfully presented. The gardens are beautiful, the swimming pool was clean and thoroughly enjoyed by us all. The close proximity to shops for supplies enabled us to self cater for evening meals with no fuss. Addo Elephant Park is nearby and was an absolute joy to behold. The Homestead has been there for many years and has old world charm Thank you very much, we will be back.Guest review byTracySouth Africa
- From US$131.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 189 reviewsIt was my second stay at Kudu Ridge, it felt like visiting friends after a long time. Thanks Brian and Jenny for making it possible to change into a tent. Dimitri - you're the best, keep up the good humour! We had some chilled days there and it's the perfect location for going to Addo Elephant Park or going on a drive/night drive on the Addo Wildlife Reserve. Your fireplace is the best. And please give Pedro a kiss from me.Guest review byKarinGermany
- From US$1,289.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsThe whole experience exceeded our expectations. The food is superb and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. They went through the trouble of making a separate meal for my partner to accommodate his food allergies. They also went to the trouble of setting up a screen and provided us with snacks to watch the rugby. We also got to see 4 of the Big 5 in one evening!Guest review bySunéSouth Africa
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 302 reviewsA wonderful experience, the accommodation is beautiful with a stunning view. At night and in the morning you can hear many animals. The staff is very friendly. We recommend booking the Elephant Encounters/Walk. The drive to the lodge is a bit rough but you have to put up with that if you want to stay in such a beautiful remote place.Guest review byAlexandraSwitzerland

We have been to Addo probably 40 times and just never get enough of it, and once again on rare occassions, saw a lioness up close. As always there were plenty of Buffalo, Elephant, Zebra, Red Hardebeest, Warthog, Kudu, and oh! a Hyena!Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

My stay at Adventure Apartment, Colchester was truly wonderful. The space was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and offered a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. Every detail from the serene surroundings to the warm and welcoming ambiance, was thoughtfully arranged. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and a touch of elegance. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting againGuest review byMemory ZodwaSouth Africa - 8.0
We liked the venue. The environment is beautiful.
We liked the venue. The environment is beautiful. The road was a challenge, but we knew that we had to come with a 4x4 vehicle and the men knew how to drive on a 4x4 route. It was raining when we arrived and it was cold, but everybody should know not to travel without a jacket.Guest review byRiaanNamibia - 10.0

We did an afternoon Giraffe walk through Bellevue Lodge and it was amazing - we were taken on a safari vehicle onto a game reserve and from there had to find the grazing giraffe. Once we spotted them, we drove close by and then got out of the vehicle to walk close (but not too close) to the giraffe to watch them eat their dinner. It was a lovely experience, and our guide Stephen was knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions. We stayed at the Bellevue Lodge for 1 night, it was a lovely small property with friendly staff.Guest review bySusanSwitzerland - 10.0
The accommodation was lovely and very kids friendly.
The accommodation was lovely and very kids friendly. We had an amazing time, very relaxing, kids loved the pool and all the lego. Game drive was an absolute favorite with drinks at a lovely view point. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone to relax and rewind!Guest review byNienkeSouth Africa - 8.0
Addo was lovely, and the map was easy to navigate.
Addo was lovely, and the map was easy to navigate. I could easily do two days in the Addo and it's full of surprises. Make sure to go to the bathroom at the beginning, because toiletbreaks are far inbetween. Make sure your devices are fully charged and you have backup, because you'll be taking a lot of pics. Currently the roadworks to Addo makes it a longer drive, but all goo.Guest review byLydiaSouth Africa - 10.0

We stayed at Dungbeetle River Lodge for 2 nights while visiting Addo. We arrived in the late afternoon and then took a full day game drive from the lodge. It was a bit much for us and would do a morning game drive next time. The experience was awesome, it was just too long for our pensioner bodies! Staying 2 nights was perfect because the evening gave us a nice recovery period before we hit the road for our return to Cape Town. Dungbeetle River Lodge was a perfect location from which to travel into Addo. It's literally 3 minutes from the south gate of the park.Guest review byCharlesSouth Africa - 10.0
Everything was quite on point.
Everything was quite on point. From the receptionist service to the restaurant food and the tour around the park and service from the tour guide. Enjoyable, you will enjoy this if you love nature but probably go for the morning tour, there may be lions then.Guest review byDingiswayo - 4.0

Not a quaint little tourist town, and somewhat disappointed with our stay (for choice of shops, restaurants and ease of access to the river, lack of info for St Croix marine reserve). The Sand dunes are spectacular, but also not easy to access as on private property. The day visit permit is affordable (via Pearson resort) yet this information is not easily available to visitors. Close proximity to Addo South Gate which is great. Some marketing PR would go a long way!Guest review byCherylSouth Africa
