The hotel right on the lake, you can go on one floor below reception and it opens directly to the lake which looks very pretty. You can sit by the lake and enjoy it. Breakfast was also good. Staff was helpful

Location was good. Wide variety of breakfast foods. Pool and hot tub area is very clean and has a very comfortable atmosphere in which to relax and unwind. Room was very clean and comfortable as well. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Wonderful and helpful staff! Check-in was quick and welcoming. I had questions about the solar eclipse and the front desk staff was very patient and knowledgeable and provided us some tips about the eclipse festivities in the area. Later when I had to switch payment methods, the manager was very helpful and quick in making it right. Clean, large, and uncluttered rooms! Breakfast was also great. No issues with that.

This cottage is amazing, it is fully equipped, includes a deck with grill, a screened porch, and is situated midst in a large surroundings with garden, lawn and trees. An absolute highlight is the house's own pond where you walk around or sit in the adirondack chairs to see and hear frogs, watch bunnies jumping around and grazing, and observe birds. This rental and its setting is quiet and beautiful, just a dream. The cottage is at the Keuka lake and 10' from Penn Yan, with shopping, wine tasting locations, restaurants, boat renting and more. The location is a short drive from Watkins Glen State Park with its 19 waterfalls, other natural wonders and lakes, and about 1hr drive from the wonderful Corning Museum of Glass. what else can you dream of for a relaxing vacation.

    Adorable little town right on the beautiful Keuka Lake. Ate dinner one night at Keuka Restaurant which was outstanding. Town is centrally located to other points of interest in the Finger Lakes region. The Outlet trail with its waterfalls is an easy walking trail.

    The say it's a Blue Collar Hamptons but I do not agree.

    The say it's a Blue Collar Hamptons but I do not agree. It's just a perfectly American place and not pretentious at all. People really care about the quality of food, drink, experience. Even renting a boat was stress free. Y-Knot is a gem, the owners are just pure class in everything they do. I had the best strawberry ice cream in my life at Crooked Lake Creamery, the coffee and egg sandwiches are also great. Vern's for huge fresh pastries, the cinnamon bun has a lot of flavor and the cheese danish and raspberry dark chocolate croissant was memorable. For wine, Dr. K Frank, Heron Hill, Weiss, Leseurre, and Divided Sky were standouts for views and wine. We took a ride to the bluffs and Garrett Memorial Chapel which is unique. Also recommend Timberline Meats if you are going to have a BBQ -- its a good sign when you pass by lots of cows. Curtiss Museum. Swimming in the lake. Boating to the Switz. Just so much to do there.

    Excellent location.

    Excellent location. Quiet area, great panoramic view, but still close to everything. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds. Good water pressure and hot water. Double sink in upper bathroom a bonus. Large kitchen with lots of space to cook. Stove and oven work. Lots of great hiking in area. Beautiful countryside and the local people are very friendly.

    Pulteney doesn't have much to offer for services - no gas...

    Pulteney doesn't have much to offer for services - no gas stations or stores - but nearby Penn Yan has everything for the vacationer. The roads were generally good and the signage was excellent. Stever Hill Vineyards is just minutes away and offers some excellent wine. The Mansion Inn in nearby Branchport offers top quality meals and service. Oak Hill Bulk Foods in Penn Yan offers a wide selection of high quality craft foods. Further afield, Naples, NY, home to beautiful Grimes Glen, has great ice cream at Lynnie Lou's and terrific food and service at Hollerhorn Distilling.

    Great little finger lakes town with good coffee, shopping,...

    Great little finger lakes town with good coffee, shopping, and pizza. Nice 7 mile bike or walking trail along the creek that has the perk of waterfalls. Houses surround the lake and you need to go to the state park for lake access. Visited for a wedding and was nicely suprised by the cute town. Visit The Nest Egg, Staving Artist Woodworking, and the Thrift Shop.

    Hammondsport and surrounding area are beautiful, of course. Plenty of restaurants, wineries, shopping, boat rentals, museums, etc. Both families and all-adult groups can be entertained and happy here. A visit to the Glenn Curtis museum is a must!!

    Union Block Italian restaurant was totally the bomb.

    Union Block Italian restaurant was totally the bomb. The Hampton was also super for the food and cocktails. The older gentleman in the bar was super. His knowledge of cuisine and mixed drinks was incredible. Getting around Penn Yan was fairly easy. The hotel has a map of the immediate area showing routes and wineries close by. It was super helpful.

    Cute quiet little town on the south end of Keuka Lake.

    Cute quiet little town on the south end of Keuka Lake. The town is very walkable with a small beach close to the town center. It has a few nice places to eat and several shops. Overall, it's a nice place to relax for the weekend.
