Extremely friendly owner and his assistant, especially for children, lots of small surprises and willing to go beyond the standard hospitality. We also had meals couple of times, they were good, and a huge Turkish breakfast is included. The place itself is cozy, 5 minutes from a huge and beautiful park. There's a Nizam beach that I wouldn't recommend (crowded and very few space, no shore and overpriced), but inside the park you can find a couple of nice free wild beaches which are empty on the weekdays mornings and still not crowded in the afternoon.Guest review byKirillNetherlands

It is a beatiful island with great arhitecture and vibe, perfect for long walks and chill. If you'd like to come here for the beach, it is not the best option. The few beaches available are expensive and they have no sand. The water is also very cold, but at least it is clean. The accomodation on the island tends to be a bit pricy and not very confortable. The local food is very good and people very friendly and helpful. Locals don't speak english very well, hotel personell includes, so you need to make sure you have internet connection so you can better communicate with people.Guest review bySabinaRomania - 10.0

our family of 4 , parents and two early twenty daughters loved the island . We loved that is was very authentic. No Starbuck and no mc Donald. All very typical Turkish. It gets busy in the weekend but lovely during the week. Good to get around by bus or bikes. It is not an island for beach lover but plenty (expensive) beach clubs or places where you can go into the sea. beautiful and green . Lovely place to escape to when you want to get away from the madness of Istanbul. It has a lot of derelict but gorgeous buildings, a lot of history, beautiful mansions and buildings and is just a cute lil place to go for a walk or ride a bike.
