The hotel has a very good location a few blocks outside the main Chiang Mai city. Tons of food, shops and massage locals around. The staff was really friendly and helped will all pur inquiries. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Will return for a second Chiang Mai trip definately.

This is my second time and this property and it was as wonderful as the first time. The hospitality was beyond expectations, and the staff here are truly fantastic. It was my birthday and I was surprised with a gift and cake. Everybody is so kind from the moment you walk in. The pool is such a nice treat and the rooms and bed really comfortable.     Since this is our second time, we decided to try the smaller studio instead of the 1-BR residence. The size of the studio is perfect - about the size of an average Asian hotel room. It’s simply furnished and comfortable. We loved that it is slightly further away from the hotel side so it’s generally quieter but just a hop from the breakfast and dinner restaurants. The restaurant staff are amazing as usual, especially the ones having to deal with mad hungry crowds at breakfast. The dinner restaurant staff, esp the male team leader who speaks well, was amazing and energetic - helping my husband navigate his allergies and dietary restrictions.

    This small hotel feels like home in a big, beautiful garden. The room was very spacious, with a big covered terrace with magnificent views. The bathroom was very clean. We enjoyed the infinity pool at the sunset. There are many cozy corners where you can rest, read, have a drink… all is very beautifully designed and stylish. We also enjoyed the dinners at a pond or on a portico. The hotel organised great trips for us with a driver. The coffee plantations and coffee villages. The spa massages were very healing….     We recently visited Chiang Mai and had a great time. Mid Sept is still off season and occasional rains but its not a spoiler at all. Awesome places to eat and shop. Weekend visit is recommended as lots of markets are only on weekends so can take advantage of that. Amazing Vegetable and fruit markets. Would be great to take a Airbnb and cook a nice meal while there. We visited Thaphae Gate, Jingjai Market, Wat Phra Singh, Wat lok Moli to name a few and they were all good. We recommend Siam Bike rentals for good deals for Bikes. We stayed at Jonah hotel and it was great value for money. Eating places Bodhi Cafe , Khoi Soi Mesai and Coconut shell restaurant to name a few. The night market near Marriott Hotel is a must visit.

    I wasn’t sure about taking the extra trip to Chiang Rai but it was so worth it. It’s a more relaxed vibe than Chiang Mai. It feels very authentically Thailand with beautiful scenery. There’s lots to explore close by and compared to anywhere else I’ve travelled in Thailand I found it cheaper. There’s a great Saturday night market where lots of the locals come together for food, music and dancing.

    There really isn't much there to see as a tourist.

    There really isn't much there to see as a tourist. The city is not pretty or anything special. We were at Sukhothai and decided to travel here to extend our mini vacation. I would not recommend it for a visit. The only highlight for me was the SGT MAJ Folk Museum. This is a must see, if you are ever in the city.

    Nan is an interesting town...

    Nan is an interesting town... There are lots of temples and history from when it was a kingdom. I was visiting during the low season, but during my 10-day visit, I could see something every day. But you must realize that this is not a holiday site where you can enjoy daily fun and entertainment.

    Phayao itself is quite small and can easily be visited in one day but I think the surrounding area has much more to offer. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer to explore the natural parks and cafes nearby
