There is a large shop (open till 19:00) at the main street, near the hotel. The bakery is also near, open early in the morning. The apartment for 3 people was extensive, with nice view. These are simple rooms, without any luxuries, but just to stay, have a nice sleep and to have a central stop to visit the area. The free paring is just outside the windows, everywhere. Gas station is in the same area. Lake Bled was wonderful, incredibly beautiful. We swam in the lake, paddle boarded on the lake, and caught the boat out to the island. Kranjska Gora is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts such as trail runners like us. We visited to run the UTMB Julian Alps in September so the atmosphere was buzzing. We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. Small town with a lot of historical buildings to see and stories to hear, also the tunnels built in the 2nd world war. There is beautiful nature in (rivers Kokra and Sava) and around it that you can visit. I was there two years in a row in September and each time we had a shorter option of a guided tour. Slovenia on the whole is one of the most beautiful countries we have been to. It was very lush and green and has beautiful mountains with little villages tucked away in between. WE love our visit to to Ljubljana, Lake Bled and Postojna caves!! The small village of Mojstrana is at the beginning of the climbing area for Triglav, and the place is amazing—calm and beautiful. Skofija Loka is a stunning medieval town surrounded by beautiful hills, forests and farmland. The castle perched above the town hosts the town museum and is well worth a visit. The old town features lots of beautiful buildings and small squares with cafes and shops. We ate out twice, once in a Balkan food specialist called Das ist Walter and once in a restaurant near Stara Loka called Inglic. Both were excellent and good value for money. The cafe bar Homen in the centre was also very good for cakes and coffee with exceptional, friendly staff. We also enjoyed two long hikes in the surrounding hills. I'm a pubic transport guy, so i arrived with bus from Ljubljana – transport is good, there are buses frequently between the two towns. I went there mostly because of hiking, but there are all kinds of other sporting opportunity, especially water sports like SUP or rowing. I also spent some time with sightseeing: went to the island and also the Vintgard Gorge (do not miss it! Seriously, it's spectacular).
