It's a nice city, but unfortunately almost every adult...
It's a nice city, but unfortunately almost every adult smokes and most cafes don't enforce a non-smoking policy. I unfortunately stayed in the centre of Stari Grad where all the loud bars and clubs are and there is no real legal policy on noise pollution. I honestly don't know how people live here full time. Due to this, I had to stay in a lot of other places on the weekends (+ I also visited Belgrade on occassion). This meant I could (hopefully) get some quality sleep. But having said this, I didn't get to fully explore the city and all it has to offer but the main area of Stari Grad is very nice culturally and a nice place to walk. I also think the river should be more accessible with nice paths alongside it. It's either a main stretch of busy road or once you hit a certain place it's blocked off and you have to pay the beach venue to access it which is a shame.Guest review byTomUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Subotica is a beautiful city with stunning architecture and lots of greenery. The fountains and parks make it even more charming. Restaurants are affordable and the food is incredibly tasty. Vrdnik is small city, 5km from resort. Take a short walk through the forest. There is a lot things to see. It is in the middle of National forest park, a lot of walking trails, great place for bikes. Palić is a beautiful and peaceful place next to the lake. It is convenient for the walk, jogging or maybe light cycling. There are few restaurants around, but not much else of some other content. There is a lot of history starting with the fortress on top of the hill above the town from the era of fighting Turks. The city of Sombor has lots of historical buildings. You can take a walk and find friendly places to drink coffee or beer and later take one of famous restoration to eat (at 2024 they have four listed on Gault & Millau). Great restaurants and very close to Belgrade. Taxi service is excellent and inexpensive. For best "cevapi" go to BIG and Restaurant Walter, for roast piglet(PECENJE) or roast lamb I recommend Restaurant Beli Narcis or Kod Velje. Both are excellent.
