- From US$166.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 421 reviewsThe host sent us information on how to access the house few days before our arrival with very clear instruction and useful information of the town. The house is clean and decorated lovely making us feel like home. There are books and board games and CDs to keep us busy even during the Xmas day and the boxing day when most of the shops and restaurants were not opened. Kitchen has quite enough kitchenware so we could make breakfast. Parking is easy as all guests have their own parking space. Location is excellent. It's just in the centre of everything. There are recycle bins and rubbish bins outside in the corner of the property which makes thing easy for us to throwaways rubbish ourselves. And the neighbors (the guests) know what to do for the recycling which i found it amazing that we could still do recycling while we were traveling. Thank you for letting us stay at the property. We met some nice neighbors and had a good time.Guest review byYan KayHong Kong
- From US$231.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 50 reviewsGail was a fantastic host. She was so kind and attentive to our kids. Our kids absolutely loved their beautiful chickens. Their highlight of the stay is playing with the chickens. First thing in the morning they asked if they could go and see Gail and her chickens. :) We wanted to experience the typical NZ countryside lifestyle. This place offers exactly it. Their garden is absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. Fresh eggs were absolutely delicious! Thank you!Guest review byAkikoJapan
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 5 reviewsWe felt absolutely spoiled. We were welcomed with open arms. The staff were outstanding, informatve and very friendly. Although the dinner menu was very limited the quality was 5 star. Accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Will definitely be back even though it was a bit pricey.Guest review byLindaNew Zealand
- From US$137.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 910 reviewsMuch more better if there is aircondition. Especially in a super hot summer time. Cannot open window at night time because little insects come inside and bitten us and give us itchy. But all and all I do love the place. Very presentable and clean and tidy.Guest review byMariaAbkhazia

I loved the friendly, relaxed vibe and the great places to eat and drink. The scenery is wonderful and the place is easy to walk, cycle or drive around. Ialso enjoyed the boutique type shops and places where you could buy something just a little bit different.Guest review byMaryNew Zealand - 10.0

We visited Greytown to see the Longbush cottage tulip display which didn’t disappoint, the gift shops in the character buildings of the Main Street are always worth a look and there are many nice cafes to choose from, we ate at The Offering and Kokodeli and would definitely go back.Guest review byAndyNew Zealand - 10.0

Greytown is so close to many places of interest.
Greytown is so close to many places of interest. As a township it has everything required for a stay. Beautifully preserved in heritage style. Very friendly, helpful locals. The Cobblestone Museum is a must to see. Central to other interesting wee townships and a stunning scenic drive to Castlepoint which is a must see and explore. The best burgers at the local store. 😋 would love to return to visit everything we didn't have time for. I must say EXCELLENT restaurants and takeaways. Missed a laundromat but one in Martinborough, Carterton.Guest review byLizNew Zealand - 8.0

Greytown is a nice little town in the Wairarapa, a bit fency, with lots of cafe and diverse shops. I particularly recommend the French Bakery, which sells amazing French-like croissant and good brioches. I also recommend the walk in the memorial park, which is a remnant of native bush, which survived from the farmland associated deforestation more than common in the Wairarapa. Finally I recommend the bar at the White Swan, very cool place for drinks ! Out of Greytown, head to the Mount Holdsworth carpark and "climb" to the lookout, definitely worth it !Guest review byJeanNew Zealand - 8.0

A good stop for a night or two on a trip up the east coast of the north island to Greytown, then Havelock North and then Taupo. Has some nice cafes, op shops, antique stores and after coming over the range is a good break before heading further. Some lovely old homes and gardens to wander around and see. Great shop to buy cheeses, chutneys and other products - called Cheez It. Locals very friendly and some great bookstores that we enjoyed looking through. Also has a book festival annually, which we are going to look into. Local wineries not far away.Guest review byHolman
