Amazing experience. Super cool system with check-in and online keys - loved it (never had this anywhere before). Super friendly stuff. Great central location and close to the bus station. Good bonus - got a free update for a king suit with a beautiful view. Super clean and absolutely stunning design. Definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Hardly find hotels where u can cook your own food inside. Golden hotel has mini kitchen with cooking utensils available for you to cook food inside room. Very neat and tidy. Easy check in and check out process. Always prefer to stay here whenever I visited christchurch. Near to airport as well.

Arrived late into the airport. It's amazing that you can WALK to this hotel. The bed was super comfy. Shower area amazing. My husband wanted to stay more nights! We didn't get the breakfast but it was nice that it was available until 10am. The staff was super helpful. Our phones weren't working so they let us make a phone call to our rental car place.

What a beautiful place! Amazing view from the room. It's very quiet and peaceful to stay here, getting completely relaxed with a great bottle of wine. The room is extremely clean and spacious. The bed feels like heaven. The staff is so friendly and professional. Thank you so much for the amazing breakfast it was the best!

    The location was perfect. It was less than a minute from any of the venues I needed to be at during my stay. The room was well appointed and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked, good water pressure and easy to control water temperature. The rain shower option was great and the switch from hand held to rain shower was easy to operate. The big windows all around allowed for plenty natural light and a great view across the city. Friendly helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was good too. Sadly, I did not get to enjoy breakfast as had to attend breakfast meetings both days.

    Central Christchurch (NZ's second largest city) is ideal for strolling around on a sunny day. It's situated on a picturesque river with beautiful Botanic Gardens and Hagley Park within easy reach. (Stunning blooming flowers Sept-Oct.) There are plenty of good eateries and it's awesome to see the modern shopping areas and facilities that have resurfaced over the last few years.

    Opuke Thermal Pools & Spa are a must see, must do. World class! The mountains are beautiful. If you have transport, close by is Ashburton, Lake Coleridge and much more. The information centre in Methven, "I-Hub" is a wealth of information and things to do. Off the beaten track, an alive, looked after, vibrant small town NZ with genuine charm and a smile. My wife and I loved it, we will be back.

    It's a while since I had last stayed in the village which...

    It's a while since I had last stayed in the village which was magical in the winter sun. I loved exploring all the historic sites as well as places I was familiar with from my childhood. I walked the length of the village and then followed the Arthur's Pass Track to Jack's Hut and then into the Bealey Valley. There are plenty of walking tracks to choose from depending on how long you want to walk. There were fewer birds in the bush than I would have liked. The cafes were good and I could have joined a church service as well!

    The Woolworths Supermarket staff were super friendly & helpful. We had a lovely evening meal at The Plough which was in walking distance to our accommodation, our meals were lovely and affordable.

    Luxurious and welcoming.

    Luxurious and welcoming. The restaurant at Terrace Downs was exceptional. Highly recommend the Mt Cook Salmon main. Extensive wine selection and great service. Would love to have stayed longer as there is so many exciting activities to choose from.

    Springfield is only an hour from Christchurch yet so close...

    Springfield is only an hour from Christchurch yet so close to great scenery for drives and many sporting activities including Mt Hutt Ski Fields plus others. Arthur's Pass is a fabulous drive, Rakaia Gorge is beautiful, the drive to Coleridge Power Station, at the back of Mt Hutt is very scenic. The town of Methven is not far away. And there is so much more to see. Springfield is a fabulous base for so much to do and see!

    On our way back home to Queenstown, my husband was so tired...

    On our way back home to Queenstown, my husband was so tired so we decided to do a last minute booking, was only one room left and we were lucky to get it. The property manager was so kind and very helpful, room was great all we needed a great bed and easy location to drive out. Just what we needed, definitely will return and i would telll a freind and freinds. Thank you Guys.

    I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but...

    I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but would definitely stay in another motel I found everyone friendly and found some good Cafés at night I were at the speedway at Woodfordglen that was the reason I stayed in kaiapoi because it was close to the speedway track.

    Great if you like panoramic harbour views and commercial dockside activity. Lyttleton is a steeply sloping precinct so not good for easy walking. Limited, small suburban shopping facilities. Many old buildings in disrepair. For all this Lyttleton has a certain charm to do with it's seaport life.
