- From US$98.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 878 reviewsWe loved everything. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with a very comfortable bed and a fantastic small terrace offering a wonderful view that was a joy to see in the morning. Trevor has been a fantastic host, and we loved chatting with him. He made us feel so welcome that we decided to extend our stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone, and when I return to Akaroa next time, I will undoubtedly book here.Guest review byFabrizioItaly

The house is decorated in a wonderful antique style with loads of history behind every item. The breakfast was exceptional in a wonderful "Downton Abbey" style. The hosts were most welcoming and accommodating making our stay enjoyable , relaxing, educational, and great fun.Guest review bySabrinaMalaysia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 57 reviewsThe view is amazing, and it’s a lovely walk into town. The road below the property is vey quiet, so mostly all you hear is birdsong. The kitchen is well stocked, so you can cook if you want, but loads of options if you don’t. Lovely shower too.Guest review bySiobhanNew Zealand

Charming little town with an amazing bakery called "A La Baguette". Plenty of other wonderful shops to browse through and find the perfect gift. Full of history re French settlement in 1840 and British settlement in 1850. It's a really fun drive there too - endlessly zigzagging roads that showcase incredible vistas at each tight turns. Lots of walks in the area too for all levels. I visited in September when it was cool but sunny; I'm sure it must be a bustling place to visit in the Summer months.Guest review bySeptembreBebeAustralia - 10.0
We had a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay! The place was beautiful, and the view was absolutely stunning. My daughter especially loved feeding the sheep, which made the experience even more special. Everything was well-maintained, and we truly enjoyed our time. Highly recommend.Guest review byBLOOMY - 10.0

Great motel and location not to far from the Ferry at Diamond Harbour. Cafe and Brewery, supermarket and petrol near by. Stunning scenery. Great for quieter travellers wanting a peaceful location and a love of nature. Lovely walks and little bays and beaches to visit. About 7 minutes by Ferry you can visit Lyttleton and they have a market there on a Saturday morning. The motel was very new, clean and beautifully presented with lovely views. The owners were lovely and very friendly. It was a dog friendly motel so I took my small dog who is part of the family. This motel was spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay at. I will stay again in the future. We ate at the cafe which is near by and also at the Brewery about a 4 minute drive to get to or a 20 minute walk away.Guest review byMorris - 10.0

The journey over the hill is spectacular with the reward of a beautiful village at the end to relax and enjoy your surroundings - or get active if that's your thing - with great food options for everyone. Just do it, get yourself over to Akaroa!Guest review byTracyNew Zealand - 8.0
The view was great even from the ground floor.
The view was great even from the ground floor. No air conditioning or fans or screens on the windows. Bed was ok, couch not that comfortable. TV was very small There was good free wifi Bathroom was fine. Only one type of tea and coffee.Guest review byAlisonNew Zealand - 10.0

As it was winter it was quieter than in summer and we found this relaxing, calm, restful and were calmed by the experience. We loved being able to walk around the central part of Akaroa. We ate at several places and found good variety and quality of food. Loved the boat out to the dolphins and the Giants House especially. Also enjoyed the museum, lighthouse and Barrys Bay Cheeses.Guest review byEvelynNew Zealand - 10.0

We visited in spring and everything was green, lush and stunning. So many great walking tracks and day trips around the Akaroa harbour. Barry's Bay Cheese Factory is a must to pick up everything you need for snacking platters = no cooking required here!!!Guest review byNinaNew Zealand
