We loved that we were here in off season so, it wasn’t packed with people. We got lucky with the weather too. We definitely will recommend! We loved the hike to the waterfalls, seeing the goats & llamas. We ate lunch in the cute cafe across from the hotel and had pizza in the bar. The walk down the stairs by the waterfall to town was v cool too.Guest review byMaryPortugal - 10.0

Nice location for all sorts of excursions; viewing the close city, going for hikes in the area, visiting the famous Geiranger - which one can do with a 4 h boat trip each way. We found Alesund more interesting than eg. Bergen (which has loads of tourists).Guest review byDieter R. KollerSwitzerland - 10.0

Damn cruise ships - block the view and disgorge 1000's who monopolize the gondola.... hello cruisers, there are other people in the world you know - and we're not loud & obnoxious - come all the way from New Zealand to hear loud & obnoxious - sheesh .... Americans & aussies - not all, but enough .. how do you manage to even wipe your own ar*es Other than that - utterly utterly great place indeed .... I went to Kristiansund primarily because it is so well connected and I wanted to visit a small Norwegian town on my way to Trondheim. There is not much going on here, but it is still an interesting place to visit for sure. And make sure to take a ride on Sundbåten, it is rather lovely.Guest review byAndriiUkraine - 10.0

My main reason for visiting Molde was to explore the mountain trails, and it did not disappoint. The scenery was stunning, and even the light drizzle couldn’t spoil the experience. I’ll save the open-air museum for my next visit!Guest review byAntaLatvia - 8.0

A property that could do with some face-lift such as better and faster service offerings. Albeit negative reviews, was pleasantly surprised to experience the opposite. A nice and quiet pla e with simple amenities providing good value for money. If you don't expect too much, you will enjoy the stay. Reqlly nice and friendly staff.Guest review byRajNorway - 8.0

Very small and cozy place. The view is spectacular! You can feel peace around. Supermarket is quite far but if you have a car is no problem. Also if you need some shopping you can go to Moa which is 15 min by car. There's a ferry and a bus stop. Trails to the woods is quite nice, you can spend a very nice day there.Guest review byAntoninaUkraine - 10.0

The fjord is beautiful. There is hiking near by. Activity business right in town. Food options are limited unless you are RV/Caravan travel. No need to travel Troll Road when you are able to get to the overlook/ tourist center to have a good look. There is a need to travel Troll road for access to the north to avoid a long circle drive.Guest review byStevenUnited States - 2.0

When you are visiting Geiranger, you need to reach Stranda through a ferry and the times for the ferry are not good. They have a ferry once a hour in the evenings and you will end up wait for an hour sometimes when you miss the previous oneGuest review byKrishna C SistlaSweden - 6.0

It was quiet & with a fresh breeze from the sea, but sort of out in the middle of nowhere with not a lot of hiking or running nearby. We had booked four days which was too long. Two days would’ve been good. The cabins all looked pretty run down with peeling paint etc. Bathroom in our cabin was renovated, so that & bedroom was nice, but kitchen/living room was so-so - especially for that very expensive price. Now staying at a gorgeous high end large cabin for less money that the tiny cabin at Farstad. Not good value for money.Guest review byMikaelHong Kong
