It was a lovely staycation. Spacious room and clean. Attentive team there from reception to housekeeping. Whenever we passed by staff always greeted us. Nice pool yesss...we spent hours there. Nice music at pool bar. Breakfast suit my appetite. Nice local fried noodles. We love to try local dish but not to forget our western dishes also great. Lovely coffee.

A Tropical Jewel

Langkawi, as known as the jewel of Kedah, is the largest island in an archipelagio of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea. And a gem it certainly is, with lush scenery ranging from rice fields and rainforests to leaning palms on tropical beaches.

Of course, it’s the beaches that draw most visitors. Housing a good number of Langkawi hotels, Patai Cenang has the longest and most developed beach, and good nightlife. Neighbouring Pantai Tengah is more peaceful and a popular choice for families.

Langkawi Airport in the west is closest to Padang Matsirat. Just around the coast is the more secluded Burau Bay. The Telaga Tujuh waterfalls are nearby, and just north of its curving beach is the Langkawi Cable Car which travels into the heart of the rainforest, where the Sky Bridge provides amazing views.

Another sleepy beach is the northern Jalan Datai, home to a crocodile park. To the west Tanjung Rhu has one of the most scenic beaches, with bulbous, offshore islands reminiscent of many an action movie.

On the south of this duty-free island is the capital Kuah, whose most recognisable feature is the large eagle statue overlooking its harbour towards the islands beyond. This town has the largest concentration of apartments, motels and hotels in Langkawi on Booking.com.

    We spent 3 nights in Adya Hotel Langkawi. It is located close to the port by taxi or grab and also clise to the night market. From check-in to check-out everything happened smoothly. The staff is very well prepared, polite, helpful and mindful. They helped us to carry our suitcases and during check-in there was a self service welcome drink. Next to the reception a lady helped to organize excurcions. The breakfast was soo good, always fresh and impossible to taste everything because they served plenty of dishes. We had dinner in their restaurant too, the Jelapang feied rice is so gooood, you must try. The view was great from our window, we saw the sea and small islands. The pool is good for swimming and sunbath too. If we visit Langkawi again, we will definetaly re-book in this hotel.

    Prime location in kuah, (1.3 km to jetty point), bike car rentals,food joints, departmental stores,parks very close property is spread across a large area, great sea views, 2 pools (one heated other mini water park for kids), hospitality could not be better, they readily allowed early check in at 10 am, missed my jetty on the checkout date at 7am & was allowed reentry until noon (couldn't thank enough). Strongly recommended for a value stay with excellent buffet breakfast

The location is very convenient hiden in jungle, and close to airport as well as town shops, restaurants etc. The stuff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. You can spot monkeys in the trees during daytime. Also tried SPA massages, very nice procedure.

    Kuah is just about decent but i would prefer the Cenang Beach area . If you can't get a hotel there, Kuah should be your next choice. The Island is small so you can get around in under 30 minutes to any spot of the island.

    The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The Thai Restaurant was amazing - getting to the Sky Cab was just walking distance, that's worth a visit. I did a Mangrove Tour which was pretty good... I went on my own but a group tour might have been just as good.

    Great beach, not to many people, good to watch the sunset. But lots of it is privat and your only allowed to walk along the shore in these parts, which is kinda sad and stupid as you wouldnt disturb anyone by staying there. but the public places are great too so not too much of a let down.

    Most happening area of Langkawi. Only beach with sports activities like parasailing, water scooter, boats, kyaking etc. Lots of cafes around and and a big flee market with multiple duty free shops nearby. Above all underwater world is also at 2 mins of drive from pantai cenang beach. Above all vegitarian indian food is also available in few restaurants of pantai cenang market.

    Kuah was nice, the locals were very friendly and we found some restaurants that served great food, however, our accommodation could have been better. There were things in the apartment that did not work and we had a booking for 5 adults but there were only two coffee cups, four chairs. Lock on the balcony door didn't work and neither did the lock on bedroom 1 window. Also, it took a couple of days for the wi-fi to work correctly.

    Malaysia itself is built on tourism use, I didnt like the fact that you have to pay to use bathrooms specially in touristic areas where you will spend already inside as there is food, shops and activities, and also you have to pay for a bathroom and extra for tissue. which made it a struggle if you walk with no money. most of the adventures are not priced you are given a different price and every tourist is given a different price, and the staff claim they dont know if you ask any question that would make them not profit. overall its a very beautiful city, but it is not a place I would go to again.

    Its a sleepy place, not a party zone like pantai cenang. Its a place to connect with nature and rest, just afew food places nearby, all of which are good, lovely spot for sunset watching. Perfect stay at eagle eye, romantic stay with my boyfriend. Very nice place to relax and spend time in nature.
