Wow, this property is AMAZING! It was the highlight of our three weel trip! Totally worth the cost! It's in a prime location within walking distance to many prime places. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating! The restaurant was out of this world- delicious Italian! Paying for thr breakfast is worth it! So many options!!!!

We loved the warm community space set up with games and books in the hotel lobby. The 24 hour lounge with food and coffee was icing on the cake. The complimentary refillable water bottles, bikes, umbrellas and coin laundry were great amenities to have.

Staff were extremely helpful. I did a booking error , the check in was on Fri , but I arrived on Thur, thankfully there was a room available and the staff were able to help me re arrange my bookings and moved our luggages into the room we booked on Fri. Rooms were clean and well maintained.

What a delightful, cozy, warm hotel with such friendly staff. Every moment of our stay (on honeymoon) was perfect. The hotel is in a peaceful, quaint location where we felt like locals. The staff were so helpful and pleasant, and the complimentary drinks in the lounge every evening were such a sweet bonus! We can't wait to come back! :)

    The most welcoming staff..we arrived last for the final shuttle bus which was full so the driver came back to collect us after he had finished! He was extremely kind! Comfortable,.old fashioned charm rooms with soothing music on the radio, lots of toiletries and a very deep bath and 3 large single beds. So comfortable plus comfy night gowns. Delicious Japanese breakfast and western breakfast buffet with lots of choice. Games room for children with a selection of Japanese candies for free. Great location and superb value for 2 nights.

    The hotel is close to the Kyoto train station. There is also a subway station at the hotel front door, so it is easier to travel in the Kyoto or surrounding areas. The breakfast is excellent with a variety of choice, including Japanese and Western foods. The room is bigger than I expected. The staff is nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the refreshment drinks provided daily to the hotel guests. I would like to stay at this hotel if I will visit Osaka again in future.

Both the traditional Japanese and Western breakfast options were delicious, filling, and promptly arrived to our door.     Very helpful and welcoming staff. The location is great because it's just a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station. There's also a bus stop across the road so you can easily get to any part of the city quickly. This hotel has a good modern look while still being very comfortable. Breakfast was very good too.

    We loved Kyoto.

    We loved Kyoto. We loved the people and the food and the beauty. We started with an e-bike tour of the city which helped orient us to the landscape, history, and culture. Google maps had bus and train routes and times, which helped immensely with transportation. We took taxis a few times when bus service wasn't timely, and the fees were very reasonable. Kyoto was hot and humid, but dressing in free flowing, cotton clothes, using sun umbrellas like the locals, and drinking lots of water with electrolytes made life fairly comfortable. Our favorite outings were the river boat ride down the Hazugawa River, really fun and a chance to see some back country, and climbing up Mt Inari through the Thousand Torii Gates. We climbed in the late afternoon and returned down the steps in the twilight, a truly magical experience. Bring lots of water and plenty of energy. It's a long way up.

    Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.

    The staff was awesome! They did everything in their power to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Room is extremely small by US standards! Room could use a microwave, the only one available was on the ground floor and I was on the 7th.

    Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical...

    Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Enjoy the rafting, enjoy Arashiyama and take the train back to Kameoka. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. A perfect day.

    Gionmachi is a wonderful section of Kyoto and offers much to see and experience. It is easy, maybe 15 to 20 minutes taxi to other areas of Kyoto that are also beautiful, historical and traditional. Overall, this is a place I would come back to because I have much more to see.

    The people of Kyoto were very friendly despite what is often written online about the city being too crowded and having too many tourists. My only regret was the weather - which at the time was exceptionally hot and overcast. I would highly recommend visiting during the month of October rather than September.

    I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.

    I loved this hotel!!! The service was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The location was perfect - close to town but not in town. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. Close to the train station as well. I will certainly stay here on my next trip to Kyoto.

    I have the advantage of my granddaughter living here.

    I have the advantage of my granddaughter living here. So I had my very own tour guide. Most areas have translated script. That is a bonus.The area is well cared for and is a credit to the country as I am sure other areas are in Japan. Other countries could learn from the attention to detail. Transferring to Tokyo now for the remainder of my stay. Very enjoyable. Would love to come again
